Pretty damned deep, at least according to this piece in the Daily Beast.

GOP Lawmaker Got Direction From Moscow, Took It Back to D.C.

“If that is corroborated, it is deeply disturbing,” Connolly said. “We are United States congressmen. Our job is to protect the interests of our country and our allies. It is not to collude with, excuse, dismiss, or, even worse, collaborate with a foreign adversary and its minions.”

The Daily Beast. :lamo

Surely you could not have read the piece in a minute

You ought to though. It's quite educational.

Four years prior to the hearing, Rohrabacher was taken into a quiet room in Congress and warned by FBI agents that Russian intelligence operatives were trying to recruit him as an asset.

If he took the warning seriously, it certainly didn’t stop him from spending time with figures linked closely to the Russian state apparatus.

Sadly it's as credible as anything from MSNBC, CNN, Fox or the rest of the MSM these days. Journalism in the news is just about sensationalism anymore. I feel bad for 'real' journalists who want to do a credible job.

This article is very credible, as it connects many of the dots that were already lying loose out there.

Remember hearing this?

House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy was caught on tape telling Republican colleagues: “There’s two people I think Putin pays: Rohrabacher and Trump.” When some of the lawmakers laughed, he replied: “Swear to God.”

McCarthy later said the comment was meant as a joke. A close associate told The Daily Beast that McCarthy was, indeed, referencing Rohrabacher’s well known affinity for Russia, which, over the years, has been treated as an odd spectacle by fellow lawmakers on the Hill.

Nothing the GOP does with Russia will ever be as deep as Bill Clinton's pockets after Russia got 20% of America's Uranium.....
And then there is the meeting with Medvedev, when Obama said- “This is my last election … After my election I have more flexibility”

But Clinton.

The topic is present-day GOP + Russia. Try again.

Its never too late to investigate (not that its late anyway, now that "all things Russia" are the focus).

People are using the past to justify why others are allowed to amoral. Remember in Preschool 'Two wrongs do not make a right'

So because some piece of trash neocon warmonger says something stupid there is credibility there? He should be sued for slander. That piece of garbage McCain said Rand Paul was working for Putin on the floor of the Senate but that means jack-**** as well.

Exactly.

If Clinton did it, then the GOP should emulate it.

We should make the GOP in Clinton's image.

jk

Really though—what kind of a sorry-ass standard is Clinton's behavior?

Why the **** would anyone hold that **** up as a standard for Trump's behavior?

Can Trump really do no better than Clinton?

Why do people continue to repeat this blatant falsehood?

The GOP certainly seems to be in a rush to "catch up" then, don't ya think?

Whataboutism for the win ladies and gentleman.

Whataboutism for the win ladies and gentleman.

Perhaps you can point me to that post of yours where you criticized Hillary and her lackies for her 'whataboutsims' when she was saying whatabout Colin Powell; whatabout Condi Rice; whatabout Jeb Bush; whatabout Mike Pence?

If it weren't for double standards, the left wouldn't have any standards at all.

Why do people continue to repeat this blatant falsehood?
Because it feels good to say it.

You get the same hit of neuro-transmitters from posting some crap as you do from posting something true.

So, the truthfulness is irrelevant in that respect.
Truthfulness has no impact on whether or not it feels good to post it.
So ****-posting happens.

Truthiness, however is relevant.
Truthiness is the property which determines if you get your hit of neuro-transmitters or not.

Inception complete.

A whatabout defense to a charge of whataboutism.

Please point out one of my posts that pointed to Bush, Reagan, etc. when the topic was about Clinton, Obama, etc. I'll wait.

As Putin said in an interview, there is no point supporting any candidate, no matter who is elected as president, the foreign policy of the USA does hardly change.

Why?
Two American professors wrote a book about it:

http://mearsheimer.uchicago.edu/pdfs/IsraelLobby.pdf

Home Page - The Israel Lobby and American Policy conference

So if Russians really wanted to influence American foreign policy, they would do this by owning American media, Hollywood, the FED, they would subvert the American academia... and after that Putin would just come to the American Congress and get standing ovations... and nobody in the USA would talk about "them Russians" influencing American politicians, be they democrats or republicans.
