I wonder if Republicans are sick of it yet :2funny:

The development deals a devastating blow not only to Republicans who have railed against the law for years, but also President Donald Trump, who campaigned on killing Obamacare and made repealing the law his top legislative priority since taking office.

"Regretfully, it is now apparent that the effort to repeal and immediately replace the failure of Obamacare will not be successful," McConnell said in a statement late Monday.

Have we ever had a president reach lame-duck status within his first year of office?

Trump is quick alright. Only pity is how badly it is hurting us all. It is regrettable that the media can only be destructive and not lead by sensible analysis and well reasoned opinion and prefer tossing mud.

and despite all that they are impotent to do hardly anything.

Talk about the gang who couldn't shoot straight!!!!!

And yet you people are still scared out of your mind for some reason.

Aren't you supposed to be celebrating all this winning?

winning!

Sad!

I figured it out!! All of you TDS sufferers are having competition to see who can start the most TDS threads, but you don;'t want it made public that you're doing so. This thread is really calamity's way of telling everyone that he's winning the TDS thread race. "CONGRATULATIONS calamity!!! You just won a new car!!!"

If Trump wasn't such a buffoon, the list above would be a problem worth worrying about for the over 100 million eligible voters who did not vote for him. It still is. We just caught a break in the fact that Trump is an idiot.

Trump's not the problem. The problem is that the ideological divide in the republican party is too wide leading to them not being able to agree on anything.

Nah, you're the one who is winning. Trump said so.

just because the rabid dog has not bitten you is no assurance that will not change.

If he wasn't in such a pickle, he could use his "deal making" skills to pull them together. In fact, it is fear of that which is why the Left is jumping on every opportunity they can find to undermine. And, the fact that he gives them all those opportunities is why he is an idiot.

And what kind of deal do you expect Trump to make? I don't see how Trump is going to get the different divisions of the party to agree with each other.

Case in point.
Steve Bannon Reportedly Attacked Paul Ryan As 'A Limp-D**k Motherf**ker' | HuffPost

This stuff doesn't help either.

Steve Bannon reportedly called House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) “a limp-dick mother****er who was born in a petri dish at the Heritage Foundation,” referring to the think tank whose fiscal conservative policies the representative espouses.

The detail is one of many bizarre nuggets in Devil’s Bargain, a new book on White House chief strategist Bannon’s role in President Donald Trump’s political rise, by Bloomberg Businessweek reporter Joshua Green, who has extensively covered the former Breitbart chairman.

Why Trump insists on hiring people who do not even attempt to get along with Republicans is a mystery to me. It's like a death wish. Attacking everyone on both sides of the aisle is not going to get your agenda through. Alienating the media, the intelligence community and about 3/4 of the US population is not going to help either. Hell, I see some hardcore conservatives like Bill Kristol and David Frum attack Trump on a daily basis.

The only place you can make that many enemies and succeed is in a debating forum :)

Lulz. What an odd thing. To be so frightened of reality that even the slightest poke at your god brings on whines of 'TDS'.

SAD!

Trump is not a leader. Instead of trying to get the senate and the house together and work on getting things done he prefers to stand on the sideline and tweet about how great things are. Being president is hard work and he is not working hard at all.

Lets keep in mind that the ACA was designed to fail. The left knew once you give something away or subsidize it Its almost impossible to turn back the clock. The people that really get hurt with the ACA are the lower middle class, deductibles and premiums are just ridiculous. I can’t imagine how young families do this, they most likely have collage debt and a mortgage now a healthcare plan the rivals the cost of there housing with a deductible they will never reach each year.

The (Ds) the arsonists of this fire storm are now just watching the healthcare system burn down without a care of whom gets hurt along the way. They intend to pave the road to a single payer system with the ashes from the fire they started. For them It’s not about healthcare or the quality of it, they couldn’t care less, what they want is every American on the hook with their system.

What the right was saying all along is that the federal government should have no role in providing healthcare. Healthcare should not be a right, but just a privilege we should have only if we can afford it. So you guys could, in principle, just repeal Obamacare. After all, that's what Trump ran on and what you voted him into office to do. What's the holdup?

Except that these Fox News viewers were so absolutely blinded with hatred of Obama and by the Fox News propaganda that they didn't see that far ahead. They just sliced off their own nose to spite their own face, they shot themselves in the foot. But feel free to stop when the stinging gets to be too much. It looks like that is what is happening right now.

camaity, You don't play chess much do you. (not a question)

This is a failure of the GOP in the Senate & Congress and a huge victory for Trump. Because now the public gets to watch obamacare continue to destroy American healthcare.

In 2018 this is going to give the GOP possible supermajorities in both houses and a lot of the Never Trumper Republican Senators and Congressmen being replaced.

Meh, not really. Because the right owns healthcare now. They have had every chance to fix it any way they thought was right. Other than full repeal with no replace, they really have not been able to come up with anything constructive. That's how the public sees it. So good luck with your "supermajority". They still have no useful ideas. And good luck doing a full repeal of any national healthcare plan.

I see just the opposite. It's clear the GOP doesn't have a better alternative to the ACA.

Did something go wrong with your mouse, why didn’t you quote the whole post? When you say “right” do you mean you want the government to supply it and pay for it?

More often than not that type of statement comes from those that pay very little no income tax and depend on nanny state handouts with no concern where the monies come from.
