"MADE IN AMERICA" is the focus for this week.

There is no hypocrisy. If someone wants to sell clothing in the United State, they are forced to follow the same course as the competition.

How about "Here is what we have to do to be competitive. We need to look inside out borders and create opportunities here, so we aren't forced to do what all the others are doing".

That discussion would be more fruitful than to run with "ignore the hypocrites", don't you think?

Sure, I agree with you 100%.

If Ivanka moves her line to be manufactured in the USA, and pays them close to the 15 an hour being pushed for, the price of her clothes will rise. Then we will be blessed with a Dump on a Trump thread about how Ivanka prices her line so only the megga wealthy could afford them.

No matter what Ivanka does people will be offended or upset or it because of who her father is.

Not that the accusation is legitimate, but it is interesting to see the media that are providing the anti Trump report. That is really, what you would expect.

Now, don't get me wrong. It is probably true that the Trumps use and sell lots of stuff made in all corners of the globe. That is also quite fine and in order. It is the tilt of the board that needs changing and and the competitiveness of the USA needing improvement. It is not irrational behavior by business that we want. So this criticism is false and harmful, as it strengthens a misconception of how economics works and how trade problems can be positively affected.

Gee willikers!! IT's another thread dedicated to doing everything possible to put the most negative spin possible on something the President said. Now give me a good old fashioned "Well you did the same this to Pres. Obama."

Conservatives and conservative media did the same to Obama.

There, typed out with a straight face.

Now, overall, regardless of who is the victim or the perp, is it wrong to treat the president this way? Are current day liberals, with their liberal media, and conservatives during Obamas terms, with their conservative media, right or wrong in the way they have resorted to open hostility towards a president from the opposing party?

It's on the same on the same level as "You peed in the reservoir that our drinking water comes from." vs. "You peed in the glass of water I'm drinking from."

You're scale is off a bit. Dems might be peeing in the glass, but Repubs peed in the pitcher.

Shutting down the government, reducing the nations credit rating, filibustering anything Obama supports, not to mention how many attempted Obamacare repeals? If that's peeing in the reservoir the Dems must be slaughtering conservative babies in the streets about now for it to be peeing in the glass.
