Is that what happened at the end of WWII with all the Nazis or after the fall of the Soviet Union? Because the CIA offered protection to some of the top intelligence officers. By protection I mean US Government protection from being tried by any court internationally, and to give them respectable incomes and homes in mainland USA. Some years ago I was scrolling through an autobiography of the former top East Germany communist spy. He recounted how the CIA came to his home after communism began collapsing and offered him not only protection in the USA but a home in California and if I recall correctly a million dollars to work for them giving up names etc. He was supposedly regarded as the best spy in the world. For the longest time the CIA never knew his identity.

Anyways... Al Qaida supposedly killed thousands of Americans during 9-11, remember that? Years later we paid and armed them to overthrow Gaddafi.

In fact I'm saying it could backfire the opposite way and actually further the US divide and even the anger among the poor.

I actually served with a Satanist while I was in the Marines. He was a Mexican though. He told me some things about Satanist beliefs. So far as I can tell they generally try to go in the reverse of what Christians teach. So, for example, if Christianity teaches gay marriage is immoral then what do you imagine the Satanic religion teaches? But really, he never directly mentioned gay marriage or homosexuality to me but I vaguely recall him telling me the teaching of Satanists on human sexuality is that one should not restrain themselves but indulge in their desires. It was basically something like that.

Satanic worship--if I remember correctly--used to be against the UCMJ back when I was in. I think. I might be wrong. Either way... I hope Satanic Church services are not being allowed and accepted on US military bases today.

You've never read anything about Chesty Puller. You don't know much about the US military as a whole to be frank.

But Chesty Puller did not appear to be too much into mixed-race marriage nor the creation of "mongrel" offspring such as myself. But he was from a different era as I said. When my black father and his brothers served during the Vietnam era units were not racially segregated but racial tensions were fairly high. Before him when his uncle, my great-uncle, fought against the Germans in WWII he returned to Mississippi forbidden to enter the Whites Only stores the German POWs freely walked and shopped in in Mississippi. According to my black grandmother who has now passed on. I'm half German-American but I was rather shocked to hear that during WWII German POWs wre taken to Mississippi and allowed to go to the Whites Only movie theaters and walk around town more free than the Black-Americans there or the ones returning from having fought them.

So, I really don't care what you think Chesty Puller would "stand for" with his troops. Particularly given you've never read a thing about him (not that I have read much about him but I have a little at least).

I stated what I stated. I was in the Marines and after graduating SOI I went into Security Forces. Even in MCT (Marine Combat Training) you practice, at least once, live firing while moving on line.

A pretty simple statement. You practice that in SOI too. It's just one small aspect of infantry training. You know... kind of like "terrain dictates movement." Simple stuff, that does not make one "special forces" :lol:, it's just basic infantry training. But you wouldn't know that because you've never been in the military.

I will tell you a number of my flaws or inabilities. I no longer remember the various formations and hand signals for moving and changing formations on various terrain. I remember certain limited concepts though.
