It looks like the latest revelations about Trump campaign collusion with the Russians is having an effect as Trumps approval numbers are going downwards.

Poll: Trump's six-month approval rating hits historic low - POLITICO

There is no good news for Trump from Gallup.

President Donald Trump has hit the lowest approval rating of any president during their first six months in office in 70 years, according to a new ABC News/Washington Post poll. Thirty-six percent of those surveyed approve of the president's job performance, which is six points down from his 100-day mark, while 58 percent disapprove of Trump's performance.

Gerald Ford was the last president to be near that mark in the poll half-a-year into his presidency, with a 39 percent approval rating in February 1975. At the six-month mark, both former Presidents Barack Obama and George W. Bush were at 59 percent.
In regards to Donald Trump Jr.'s meeting with a Russian lawyer aimed at getting information on Hillary Clinton during the 2016 election, 63 percent said his actions were inappropriate. Sixty percent think Russia tried to influence the 2016 presidential race and 67 percent believe Trump aides helped them.

I am rather surprised the approval number of 36% is as high as it is. I guess Trump was right that he could shoot somebody on Fifth Avenue in NYC and still his base would love him. But one cannot govern effectively with only a third of America behind you.

And with 2/3 of Americans now convinced the Russians and Trump campaign official colluded - the issue of his legitimacy comes front and center.

Lets see more polling on this from other groups.
 
Until the next election, the only number that counts is GOP rank & file approval numbers - which still seem pretty strong.

So for now, Trump's impervious. He's Superman, and no one can touch him.

But I think we are seeing some erosion. Even Rasmussen - which is highly suspect on Trumps high side - was down six or seven points and is now in negative territory.

So perhaps this is the start of something encouraging.

An interesting tidbit in this poll you've linked is the majority of people believe the Democratic Party doesn't stand for anything other than opposition to Trump.

Seems like a winning strategy the Dems are following.

Standing against Trump right now is a giant message in and of itself. When the election year of 2018 rolls around, no doubt the Dems will offer a program and a message.

Well, I agree the manic, obsessed, and hate filled method the left is using is sending a message. However, as the poll you linked proves, that message is looking dire for the left.

Interesting you would suggest I show patience, and link it to virtue, when many on the left, especially the most "vocal" of their acolytes, are showing an extreme lack of any patience or virtue.

If there was, we'd be discussing it.

And the Gallup poll shows a majority is disapproving of Trump. So if the anti-Trump message is leftist - then a majority of Americans must be on the left because they subscribe to it.

I have asked this same question in various forms in this forum numerous times.

I have even posted a link to an interview of John Sununu by Allison Camerota in which he asked her if she had any proof of anything that she was posing as hypotheticals.

She responded, simply, "No."

I may be missing the intent of your question...

Actually it is what most people call reality.

The Anti-Trump forces will be viewed as the heroes of the American people... and the majority are already with them today and will be there next year for the elections.

I see people like you here on this site and elsewhere engaged in the BS phony intellectual fraud of pretending they are little angels with clean scrubbed faces innocently posing the question "but where is the crime" - and you have been told over and over and over and over again about all the crmes this could be but you ignore it.

That is the intent here.
