The repeated lying about meetings with Russian proxies and the nature of those meetings sure doesn't pass the smell test.

Is meeting with a Russian a crime?

I oversee about 500 different accounts and meet with customers and employees numerous times every day.

Some of the meetings are formal and require a great deal of preparation. Some are exploratory and the other people in the meeting are doing the prep work. I'm just along for the ride.

Some are nothing and my only goal is to leave. Others blossom into something that is very good and then more meetings occur to nail down the details.

The ones that I drop in on and find to be nothing are very forgettable. By the way this meeting is described, it seems to have been a real nothing.

Very forgettable especially for the Trump folks involved in the flow of everything that was occurring at that point in time.

IF there was an ongoing Russia-Trump Conspiracy to defraud the voters of the USA, THEN this meeting would have been viewed by the trump Team as being redundant in the extreme and therefore unimportant.

Everyone in the Trump Campaign, especially those at the tippy top, would have already known the fix was in and this pretense for a meeting would have been dismissed out of hand. No meeting required.

IF, on the other hand, there was NO Russia-Trump Conspiracy AND the Trump folks were interested in pursuing the assumed criminal activity, THEN this meeting might have sounded interesting AND would have undoubtedly led to additional meetings and left actual evidence of a crime.

The meeting was cut short and the follow up activity the Tin Foil Hat Crowd is looking for did not happen.

As always we need to ask: If this is true, what else must be true?

That is how you view it.

Common courtesy is not something that is mandated.

It's very much like the accent in your speech patterns or your native language. It's just there. Nobody recalls learning basic personality traits, but they are learned behaviors.

I don't know why you are defending this.

Lobby for the rule change and get off my case for simply doing what has been a normal practice here for years.
 
The lower Trump's rating...the better that bodes for America's future.

I hope he drops down well below 30% at some point...maybe it will shame him into quitting.

Doubtful, but one can hope.

I get that you made an observation. I read it. And having read it I advised you on how to proceed once your opinion was heard. What about that seems to so befuddle and confuse you that you keep repeating it again and again and again and again?

I am rather surprised the approval number of 36% is as high as it is. I guess Trump was right that he could shoot somebody on Fifth Avenue in NYC and still his base would love him. But one cannot govern effectively with only a third of America behind you.

And with 2/3 of Americans now convinced the Russians and Trump campaign official colluded - the issue of his legitimacy comes front and center.

1. Most people don't pay attention to the news.
2. At his lowest point, Nixon was at 25% approval.

So, 25% was the bottom. But now that things are even more polarized, I would guess the bottom is around 30%. Trump could literally murder people and not go below 30%.

It's just human nature. Some people are irrational and will never change their mind. I could show you shocking examples of this.

Also, look at Duterte in the Philippines. He's a total disaster but maintains high approval levels.

Yes. Or Putin in Russia, or Erdogan in Turkey, or Ahmadinejad in Iran, or ... well, the list goes on. The world is being run by a bunch of idiots. We thought we were living in a country which would was immune to all this because we are an advanced, educated, enlightenend, first world nation. Surely we were beyond electing someone completely crazy, petty, foul-mouthed, and ignorant like those other, less developed, backward countries, right? Pffft. There goes that theory.
