Trump: Personally, What Do You See in Him?

Chameleons in politics are not uncommon. IMO, Trump is probably better at selling what you want to see than anyone I have ever been exposed to though. So, I ask. When you look at Trump, What do you see?

I see a naïve political outsider that is a clear departure from status quo and appears to be attempting to move the country in a direction I favor over the one in which we have been moving.

I don't have to like him or his personal life. Didn't the Bill Clinton impeachment teach us that none of that matters anyway when it comes to governing?

If you look at Trump, he is a relationship builder. He knows how to make deals. That's a sign of a strong leader. His decision making is impeccable. People point to his bankruptcies, but filing chapter 11 (not 7) is more strategic than anything.

You don't get to where Trump is at without talent. He's a real estate savant and made it in one of the toughest cities in the world.

If you look at those "bankruptcies", the number is something like 4 11's and 1 7 out of a thousand starts. Any venture capitalist in the world would take that record and would be listed on the world's richest billionaire list.

Nearly all the President Trump hate amounts to jealousy centering around his success. Trump takes old abandoned buildings and turns them into profit centers. Trump wins elections even though he has no experience in the world of politics, and does it with 20 cents on the dollar of funding. Trump flies in the face of the basic liberal argument. Trump did build that.

Chapter 11 bankruptcy is more strategic than anything. Any smart business person would utilize that tool.

There is a difference in not taking it and fighting back. Trump is fighting back, for too many people that is a reason to hate him.

The left is used to attacking a GOP'er and having no response. DJT fights back, and they can't take it.

Family man, fighter, doer, fun guy, marches to his own drummer, a little too prone to cheating, believes in himself oldschool, mostly honest, builder, great evaluator of people, great evaluator of problems, a finder of solution........

You get the idea.

He is NOT ideological, and he somewhere along the way learned something of the Eastern Ways, I have not figured out how yet.....I mean the man is not a believer in books, he is almost completely self taught through experience, through his trial and error method.

Chapter 11 is not a bankruptcy at all. The regs just happen to be included in the bankruptcy statutes.

Chapter 11 is a reorganization.

Chapter 11 is a reorganization.

Plus as the global economic system continues its death spiral increasingly it is only the chumps who pay their bills in full, it is no longer the honorable approach, because we must respect ourselves first.

Basically this is just another one of those threads where the left counts the ways in which DJT is (fill in the blank).

Yep. Just another thread for the hate to spew forth. All you have to do is look at the responses - almost all of them are attacks on Pres. Trump.

I see a mobster from New Jersey. John Gotti, almost to a T is my Trump. Brash, and way over-confident, and thus foolish and easy to trap. Like Gotti, Trump is ruthless and loyal to no one but himself. Thus, I suspect soon he too will encounter his own Sammy "the Bull" Gravano moment, and one of his underlings whom he betrayed will betray him in return.

Politically, I see a guy who is actually a Centrist. But, he is clever enough to know that he has to align himself with the Far Right to, not only stay in power, but also to have obtained it to begin with. Who is the real Donald Trump? Well, three times married, five kids with three mamas, 4 bankruptcies and a weird thing for teen girls, as is evidenced by his love for beauty pageants, that's who.

We'll just add you to this list.
The Lies of Donald Trump's Critics, and How They Shape His Many Personas

...and he somewhere along the way learned something of the Eastern Ways, I have not figured out how yet...

I suspected this as well. When he was on the campaign trail I picked up on some phases and buzz words that lead me to believe he was at least aware, or perhaps practiced, Universal Law, or some such thing. To what degree, I don't know.

I agree. Trump has an uncanny, virtuoso understanding of eastern philosophy. That's why I'm not surprised he has such a strong relationship with South Korea, Japan, China, etc... He understands their culture. He understands principles like honor, hard work, family, etc...

The Trump's are a dynasty in Asia. Many Asians respect Trump as a savvy bussiness man with a strong financial acumen.

It's kinda sweet that you guys are searching for some sort of deeper meaning in Trump's off the wall tweetstorms.
Sweet, but ludicrous.
Carry on.

And he might not even know that he is practicing the Eastern ways, to him it might just be what works.

I see someone born with a silver spoon who decided early that nothing is sacred where ego, power, and money are concerned. Someone with little to no respect for women. Someone who is chronically insecure and with significant psychological problems. The supreme con man who believes a favorable end always justifies the sleazy means. An attention whore who constantly needs outside reinforcement. Someone who has yet to reject a lie.

Apparently, all of this stems from Trump's uncanny, possibly innate, knowledge of "Eastern Ways"
Who knew?

I think he probably interacted with a lot of Asian business men and clients in his real estate career. Asians are analytical, good with numbers, and have a good sense of real estate trends.

It is a natural relationship and I'm not surprised he is so revered in Asia.

Very few have picked up on this, even after all this time we have been watching him closely, but then again Americans tend to be colossally ignorant now, to include the Elite Class.

Well he does study everyone he crosses, because learning where others are weak/blind allows him to win in the game of business.

I get the idea that there is more to it though, like maybe he learned this from Don King, or in his WWE training.

Which would include The Donald.
Or does DJT get a pass because he's actually some sort of "Eastern Way" savant?

Don King??!!
Now, there's a real practitioner of Eastern philosophy, alright.
C'mon, Hawkeye.....I'm pretty sure you're just trolling here.
You don't really believe any of this, do you?

Trump is a rare breed. He's clearly royalty that has many connections with the affluent, famous, and elite yet he has this uncanny ability to empathize with the blue collar worker. I think deep inside Trump's a scrappy entrepreneur that likes to be the underdog and fights against the establishment. Again, the man has callous on his hands. He likes get in hands on and do a lot of the grunt work.
