Florida animal rights group confronts fisherman, throw his catch back into water

Born and bred! Around here, what we call trout are spotted sea trout. I don't think they true trout but they sure look like one.

I think some folks call em black crappie.

Maybe it's because I've never been fishing but I hear or see the term "black crappie" I don't immediately think good eating. I think more "better get that checked out".

I got much respect for yakker's. I often help them load or unload at the docks. I have pondered taking up the sport myself. But it's hard to paddle with a beer in my hand. I'll stick with our Merc 115. LOL!

Huh! I am the official beer king on the water on a kayak. There are just some things that have to be overcome. ;)

That's why I don't use artificials, cut bait or live bait still fishing. I catch bottle bass until I get a bite!

I used to always use live shrimp. Popping under cork. But 3" Gulp New Penny Shrimp is better than the real deal. Better than D.O.A. shrimp too. I also use Mirolure topwaters and suspended hard baits and catch gator trout with them. I'm all artie's these days. Except in blue water. I usually use sardines, cut-bait, squid, etc., when I go deep.

But I do intend to use white baits/pinfish my next trout trip. I seen some big ass gators brought in from another boat, last time out, when my GULP was just doing fair-da-middlin'.

I'd like to try my luck with snook from a kayak. So stealthy. Just ease right up in to those mangroves.

We weren't allowed to fish for snook for a while there. But now, it's ON!

I build a boat a year. Just sold off the 13' 6" Brockway skiff I built over the winter to a guy who's brother is terminal, and wants to get him on the water again before it's too late. They love catching "Spots" on the Rappahannock River.

I'm a sucker for a sob story so I told him to give me $500 for the boat. He looked at me like I was crazy because he knew what it costs to build. I told him to either help me roll the boat down the driveway to his trailer, or carry his happy ass down the road. He's been sending me pics of him and his brother on the river for the past 2 months. Best loss I ever took, except for listening to the old lady about it ever since. ;)

I am doing a 18' Brockway build this winter and this one will be a keeper. I have a trailer already lined up, and am looking to put a 50 HP Mercury on the back. Brockways are built as fishery work boats and speed isn't a factor with these.

That's awesome. You're a good dude Retired USN. Thou shalt be rewarded tenfold. Believe that brother.

Happy weekend.

Good grief, get a room.

I do. I especially like riding them on the polar ice caps I've melted with my SUV.

Y'all got polar ice caps in Texas? Don't that beat all? Talk about climate change! I bet they're HUGE!

You only added that later when nobody joined in on your "fish flopping is really fun" fiesta. Don't be a weenie. If you don't give a ****, just own it.

Actually I just watched the video with the wife, and at like 30 something seconds in the VIDEO the guy says "we're getting a bucket."

You failed to watch the video

Cant go wrong with live bait, this is what they eat! *electrolytes, it's what plants crave! *

Well, I have pulled in too many shrimp heads and lost too many fish using shrimp in the flats. That GULP fools them pretty good. I won't say it gets more bites than live shrimp but GULP does put more fish in the box. They last many, many casts. (Unless the damn puffer fish gets on it. They bite them in two like butter.)
