G20: Does Donald Trump's awkward performance indicate America's decline as world powe

Re: G20: Does Donald Trump's awkward performance indicate America's decline as world

A takedown of the Trumpster by an Australian reporter has gone viral - Philly.com

According to Uhlmann, we all need to give up on any hope that the speeches written for Trump and delivered by the man himself are any reflection of his true thoughts.

quotes from the video which may be viewed at the link

“It’s the unscripted Trump that’s real: a man who barks out bile in 140 characters, who wastes his precious days as President at war with the West’s institutions like the judiciary, independent government agencies, and the free press.”

“Mr Trump is a man who craves power because it burnishes his celebrity. To be constantly talking and talked about is all that really matters... and there is no value placed on the meaning of words, so what is said one day can be discarded the next.”

“Donald Trump has pressed fast forward on the decline of the United States as a global leader,” Uhlmann said. “Some will cheer the decline of America, but I think we’ll miss it when it’s gone — and that’s the biggest threat to the values of the West, which he claims to hold so dear.”

The irony is that the decline of the US as a world power = globalization.

Trump is smart to nix the Paris Climate accord. I don't think his lack of attendance undermines anything considering evidently they would not renegotiate terms to be more friendly with American goals. Rather than sign on to a bad deal to appease left-wing world governments not entering the deal to do what's best for the US only marks stronger leadership. Signing a bad deal for popularity among governments that do not have your best interest in mind is a sign of weakness and being a pushover.

Dumb move, he had the power to set goals. Only ones he won over were the hard right.

Wait a minute! Stop the presses!

I heard on FOX that Trump was stellar! I was told he ruled the day!

I think I even heard somebody say a white dove came down and landed on his shoulder.

What you talkin' 'bout Willis?

You're dating yourself with that one....know what I mean, Vern? lol

FoxNews is the only conservative news network on TV....so naturally, they control the right wing narrative...and now Trump controls them.

Maybe the future belongs to a global identity.

We already have a global identity, we are all earthlings.

The future belongs to progress, we are unable to know what the result will be.

Don't understand... It's my impression that the Paris deal allows countries to set their own targets and that there is no enforcement mechanism... It seems like an aspirational set of objectives. How is it a bad deal?
