The Left Celebrates the 4th of July

I'm not. "A few" here, "a few," there, "a few" hundred rioting over there, "a few" hundred looting over here, etc. that all adds up after a while. And we all know how the left inflates their numbers to make themselves appear more important. So live with it, it is what the left created.

You are confused it's the conservatives that are looting the national Treasury with all their corporate welfare

The left celebrates the 4th of July in the only way they know how: by bringing the hate.

Did you forget that it was still July 4th when you posted this anti-left hate thread?

why am I responsible for every random "librul" but you're not responsible the Westboro Baptist church, white supremacists, alt-right or every nutbag that shoots up a church. speaking of spoiled 3 year olds, why are you not responsible for Trump or the republican congress?

I wish I had a filter on this website that would auto correct "the left" to "a few people on twitter". It would be very useful.

How about a filter that works for the left and the right. Your showing your bias.

...and so on.

It reminds me of a 3 year old who has everything he could possibly need or want and yet still thinks his parents are unfair to him.

I personally don't like to see people burning the American Flag. I think it is the ultimate show of disrespect to the millions of people killed and injured protecting our freedom and that flag.

However I served in the military and I was willing to also fight and die for the right of citizens to burn the flag, speak out against out government, as well as all the rest of our rights.

However when someone from another country that is here illegally burns or defiles our flag that is an act of war and we should respond accordingly.

Trump bashing is much more popular than straight up right bashing. Trying to navigate the minefield of "the left is the devil" threads takes a lot more energy.

The brownshirts started out not wearing brownshirts, a few here, and few there, then they were identified as useful idiots by an already lunatic fringe of the German political scene, and over the course of two elections became widely accepted as daily routine. The irony, or perhaps just plain complete and utter misunderstanding of just what fascism looks like, is that, the antifa's of the world are in fact behaving an awfully lot like the real fascists. :)

In Judaism, we have a saying, "Yum Hoshoa". It means "Never again"...

Some random thoughts on flag-burning: Years ago in the early 1970s I met a young woman, a former student leader from the Dominican Republic, in the US on a State Department good will tour. I asked her what student demonstrations were like in her country. She said "Lots of speeches, then we burn an American flag." I said that it sounded like demonstrations in the US, speeches and then we burn the American flag. She was shocked. Understand that she resented her own government, but couldn't believe citizens would burn a country's flag. She had no reason to like the US, as her brother had been killed by marines in our invasion in 1965, but she still was amazed at our conduct.

I got to thinking... In the 1960s the infantile right suggested that those who protested the Vietnam war or civil rights violations were Un-American and wrapped themselves in the flag -- to the distinguish themselves from protesters. (I think the Orwellian-named House Committee on UnAmerican Activites still existed.) So the infantile left, not to be outdone, decided that flag burning would be an appropriate thumb-in-your-eye tactic.

My position is one I heard from much-maligned Jane Fonda at some demonstration: "That flag belongs to us as much as them. Take it back."

Final irony: isn't it true that one is *supposed* to burn flags when they get old and tattered?

Trumps stirring speech on July 4th made up for it...Oh wait there was nothing from him. He must have been busy getting concessions ready to give Putin for his help in getting him elected.
