"Never mind ISIS, Al Qaeda, North Korea, Putin...the real enemy is CNN, MSNBC, NYT, WaPo and Morning Joe."

What does it suggest to you when the argument for weeks on end is that media is the enemy?


I find that to be totally bizarre.

Turn off the TV, put down the newspapers/laptop and go to talk and to organise with your neighbours. Do this in spite of the tsunami of spin and partisan punditry which inundates your life. Become a new medium yourself to challenge the orthodoxy of the "received wisdom" of the corporate media which you declaim.

You are democracy, so do your job! 330 million voices can drown out the spin. Become the better option and lead!

It is totally bizarre, but so is Trump.
 
He is on TV in Washington right now celebrating vets and talking those words that the left never utters "radical Islamic terrorism"

Which is why Trump is the star recruiter for ISIS. Unlike Obama, Trump feeds right into their narrative like the chump he is.

But what if cable news is your escape from other people unloading their problems into your life??? I watch cable news when I'm down, "well at least someone else is having a worse day." The other times I use it so I don't stress myself out and laugh a bit. It's great therapy. everyone should try it.

Also the turning of the tide and loss of territory by ISIS. The beginning of the end.

ETA: Has Trump bravely uttering the words "radical Islamic terrorism" stopped the attacks? Let's get serious here.

I suspect that the proliferation of armed drone strikes by President Obama was a pretty good tonic for ISIL recruiters too. All presidents since 2001 have been a great boon to ISIL either knowingly or unwittingly. Where President Trump is different is that he is both authoritarian enough and unwise/impetuous enough to bring about a collapse of democracy in America and thus hand the terrorists their greatest victory. You must guard the republic from all enemies both foreign and domestic. Many around the sitting president and perhaps he himself may prove to be a greater threat to your country than ISIL ever was. Proceed with caution.

It's easier to take territory than to kill an ideology. That's why it's crucial to not feed into the ISIS narrative that this is a war against Islam, which is what Trump is doing.
 
I am disappointed that the failed media rarely even talks about trying to reform themselves into better work.

The failure of American journalism is one of our most profound problems, it makes fixing up the joint extremely difficult, which is of course the point.

Because of ISIS, because of Russia because because because we cant talk about the failure of American Democracy, and the place the terrible work of so-called journalists has in that?

That Trump is the real enemy.
 
Pretty consistent pattern with Trump. Every person or organization that resists his agenda is labeled the enemy. First it was the intelligence services that said Russia meddled in our election. Then it was the media for reporting that Trump's lies were lies. Then it was Democrats. Then it was Comey. Everyone who disagrees with this lying sack of **** becomes "what's wrong with the country". Little do the mouth breathers realize they're being led by the nose like fools and that they are the worst group in the country.

Journalists have doing their work poorly for a very long time, and their work is still getting worse, they refuse to get with the program of Saving America

Likewise, Trump won't mention white supremacist terrorist attacks on minorities.

Thats what Trump says....but it doesn't make it true. The reality is that Trump is doing his job poorly and blames the media.

What makes it true is that it is true, and I have been pointing out this truth for many years, long before I paid Trump any mind.
