Trump's former campaign manager--forced to register as Russian agent

Paulie Walnuts either suddenly developed a conscience...or he's decided to become a cooperating witness for Mueller.

That's usually what happens--one little birdy starts chirping and they all start singing like canaries.

iLOL JFC no.
Not an enemy.

And not Russia. A political party in the Ukraine that was pro-Russian.

And you better ****ing believe that they can legally lobby the US for better treatment and hire US citizens to do so.

And still, all done and completed before the campaign.
The firm did the job they were paid to do and the relationship ended at that point.

WASHINGTON -- President Trump's former campaign chairman, Paul Manafort, has registered with the Justice Department as a foreign agent for political consulting work he did for a Ukrainian political party, acknowledging that he coached party members on how to interact with U.S. government officials.

Manafort says in a Justice Department filing Tuesday that his firm, DMP International, received more than $17 million from the Party of Regions, the former pro-Russian ruling party in Ukraine, for consulting work from 2012 through 2014.

Manafort is the second member of the Trump campaign to register as a foreign agent. In March, former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn registered with the Justice Department for work his consulting firm performed for a Turkish businessman that he said could have aided the Turkish government.

Both registrations came after the work had been completed. Meaning after they got caught.

Furthermore, if Manafort was not "still" working for the Russians, then there was no need to install in the Republican platform--"that we will not arm the Ukranians against pro-Russian separatists."

Repeating what is already known does not change the meaninglessness of the information or the correctness of what I said in reply to the pother person.

FFS that political party in the Ukraine was pro-russain because it was Russia.

I find your apology for someone who worked with and doing the very same thing that Russia is trying to do to us alarming. Im in the mindset that you are supporting anti-American behavior because you are not a patriot.

Excon,

I think what you're ignoring (perhaps on purpose) is this part from the CBSNews article:

...political consulting work he did for a Ukrainian political party, acknowledging that he coached party members on how to interact with U.S. government officials.

Now, you could argue that in being a political consultant, coaching his employer and/or agents on how to interact with a foreign government, i.e., members of Congress or other bureaucrats, is not uncommon; it's just part of doing his brand of consulting work. But given that the GOP party platform was changed to a pro-Russian position and there has been no significant anti-Russian stance taken by anyone within the Trump Administration, I think it's reasonable to conclude that members of Trump's campaign team were up to their eyeballs in lending aid to the Russians. Exact what that was and to what degree is yet to be determined.

I wouldn't classify his working as a political consultant of a nation the enemy of Putin and Russia evidence of a "Russia Connection."
Paul Manafort was not a paid consultant for the nation of Ukraine.

Manafort was a paid consultant/lobbyist for the "Party of Regions" ... the (now non-existent) corrupt political party of the corrupt and pro-Russia president Viktor Yanukovych.

The same thing? :doh FFS, iLOL.

You think? Hilarious. To suggest I ignored something, even more so.
