Senate Republicans Fed Up With Trumps Impulsive Behavior

he did when they didn't fall in line.
there was a couple of times they did it not often.

again there is a reason he tried to govern by fiat. luckily some of the judges out there saw it and ruled against him.

He was the most-commonly SCOTUS-rejected POTUS, sure. But I don't recall any instances of him celebrating a bill passing with Democrats, waiting a week, and then denouncing the bill and them on twitter.

same so do I. I wish our lawmakers like it as well.

That would be an unexpectedly cool new trick for them to learn again.

there you go again, look these words up before you post, saves embarrassment.

"Impulsive Behavior" is usually hard to deal with and catches people off guard, if they aren't always on their toes. That's unpleasant.

It also punches his spin doctors in the dick on a regular basis.

Its kinda fun to watch actually.

This is a transition that trump has to learn.
how quickly he learns this is up to him.

he is use to saying and it gets done. congress doesn't work that way.
this is a huge adjustment he has to make.

I would expect his advisors would deal better.

Obama acted the same way when it came to congress it was just ignored.
that is why he then tried to govern by fiat lucky for us the constitution got in his way.

IDK, one of the things I disliked about Obama was his tendency to start negotiations from a "center" position. Which means he naturally ended up farther right than I liked.

Most of his tenure was spent with a congress that just told him no to tell him no. Even when it was one of their ideas.

So our recollection of the past varies.

Which is something I notice a lot. My memory is very good. But lots of Americans hold to a recent history that doesn't gibe with my memory. Both sides.

Guess those memories were worth what those who paid for them paid.

Democrats have been predicting massive GOP election losses for the last 9 years.
They even promised that they were going to turn my State, Texas ( Yay Texas !! ) Blue.

That didnt happen and it wont happen in 2018. Dems have suffered staggering losses at the local, State and Federal level since 2010, and it couldn't have happened to a " better group of idiots "

In 2018 the Dems have to defend 25 Senate seats, 10 in States Trump won and the GOP has to defend 9, 8 are in Red States and no, theyre not going to win back the House.

American voters arent impressed with the Democrats message, which is completely void of substance policy wise and filled with Trump hate and pandering to their coalition of victims

They'll just preach to the choir and continue to alienate the very voters they needed to win the Presidency

We're counting on your boys to do the heavy lifting for us.

Senior Republicans are increasingly fed up with White House moves they describe as impulsive and harmful to the party’s future, Politico reported Tuesday. Citing nearly two dozen top Republicans, the report said many say they believe President Trump’s administration is sabotaging GOP efforts to expand the Republican Senate majority in 2018, hindering lawmakers’ chances at re-election and jeopardizing the party’s plans. Several senators have reportedly complained to Trump over what they view as the latest miscalculation by his administration: attack ads launched by a pro-Trump group against a GOP lawmaker who opposed the Senate’s health-care bill. The campaign by America First Policies, a group staffed by several of Trump’s top campaign aides, was pulled amid a mounting backlash, and the health-care repeal vote was delayed.

Some lawmakers are reportedly also growing frustrated with Trump’s personal vendettas against those who criticize him, a habit they say might cause disunity in next year’s Senate elections.

It couldn't happen to a better group of idiots, somewhere Barack Obama is laughing his ass off. :lamo

Congressional Republicans were never on board with President Trump. Which is why Trump got elected.

there you go again, look these words up before you post, saves embarrassment.

yes you should look up words you obviously don't know what they mean.

fiat.
an official order given by someone who has power : an order that must be followed.

maybe next time you should know what someone is talking about so you won't embarrass yourself like this.

What idea's were those? healthcare wasn't a republican idea this has been proven time and time again and why this myth continues to be spouted is beyond me.

So our recollection of the past varies.

how many EO's were overturned again by the SCoTUS and other courts because he overstepped his authority?

Yes, fun. We never know the spin he and his folks want to give things nor, if he knows it himself. Fun!

So Obama had power I get it

So you think the Democrats, who are 0 - 5 after spending 10s of millions of dollars to unseat Rebulicans in special elections are going to win back the House ?

How exactly ? With Trump hate and obsession and appealing to their coalition of victims ?

They have no message policy wise, and the rest of America isnt going to be impressed with their pandering

Obama was dismissive of Congress, but I don't recall him stomping all over his own party or his own dick as much as Trump does.

Huh ?

Since 2010 Democrats have lost over 900 State legislator seats, 14 Governors, the House majority and the Senate majority and finally the WH

Obama was absolutely toxic to the Democrat brand and left a lasting impression thats forcing the Democratic party to adhere to a election strategy of identity politics over substative issues.

They CAN NOT run on the successes of their own agenda because there are none, so they built this coalition of victims, alienated blue collar workers and the middle class and are currently 0 - 5 in Special elections since Trumps inaugeration.

Obama stomped his own party alright

Too much of what run of the mill conservatives believe is propaganda. When their leaders actually implement their agendas, most regular voters get screwed.

Screw them too much and they'll hit the "gag" point where they reject the ideas.

Trump and gerrymandering have created a situation where much of the republican agenda can be rammed through.

Ram through enough, fast enough, and the frogs will jump out of the pot.

This is a real possibility at this point in history, IMO.

We'll see.

You're confusing "pushed policies that were bad for the brand" with "stomping all over one's own parties' dick".

What part of the Conservative agenda screws regular voters ?

Because the policies of the last 8 years have been anything but Conservative and its the Democrats, not the Conservatives who have have paid the price politically

Liberal tax and spend policies have left Cities and now entire States bankrupt while Red States like Texas grow their economies and their budget surpluses by applying supply side, bussiness friendly, investor friendly policies that your people claim dont work.

Trump ought to pull back to a family life with his beautiful wife, Melania, and Mike Pence can take over as president. He is a civilized and respectable person.

You mean the policies the republicans universally blocked?

Those policies?

Lol ! That didnt work back in last 3 election cycles and its not going to work now.

If it was all the GOPs fault then thats all the Democrats had to say when they were fighting for their lives in the last 3 election cycles.

But they didnt, they pretended ObamaCare and its disasterous consequences didnt exist, pretended Obama's anemic economy and recovery didnt exist and pretended Obama's foreign policy blunders never happened

Probably because they figured the average American voter isnt a imbecille and wouldnt but it.

So they stuck to identity politics and pandering, and it failed miserably
