Why? Why vandalize a memorial to Emmett till?

A memorial to an African-American boy whose lynching galvanised the US civil rights movement has been vandalised for the second time in as many months.

Information about 14-year-old Emmett Till, who was murdered during a family holiday to Mississippi, was scraped and later peeled off a historical marker.

The murder of the Chicago teenager made headlines throughout the US when photos of his body were published in 1955.

Another Till memorial nearby was found riddled with bullet holes in 2016.

The latest vandalism happened to a marker placed outside the Bryant Grocery store in Money, Mississippi, where the teenager was accused of whistling at a white woman. It was also defaced in May.

The story is, a Little Black Boy winked or whistled at a White Women and the Big White Boys got emotional.

The biggest and strongest dude I have ever meet was racist. This is a guy that could bicep curl 700 pounds laying down. I have no doubt he could destroy a bear if he ever came across one. I assure you no one would ever rape that guy.
 
Anyway...let's not forget that Emmett Till was just a kid. He had barely turned 14 when he was murdered.

Gotta Love The NRA; One 147 Grain 9mm Hydra-shock from one Black Man can take down the biggest and strongest racist dude at the speed of a bullet.

Yep and other than vandalism we really don't know the reasons behind it.
It could be racist ass hats or it could be teenage vandals, out for a night of fun.

It's unlikely who did it, will be found and their motivations discovered.
It's news, in my opinion, because people will assume the intent was racist and that sells.

Different thing. You were assuming all racists are weak and easy targets when the reality is quite different.
