Unemployment among black Americans ages 16 years and over fell to 7.5 percent in May, its lowest level since December 2000.

Black unemployment has been on the decline since February — falling from (February) 8.1, (March) 8.0, (April) 7.9, and (May) 7.5 percent, according to data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

The national unemployment rate in May was 4.3 percent, its lowest level since May 2001.

Just going to repost what I posted in another thread where this came up.

Why should Trump get credit for that? Not that I think Obama deserves any either because he didn't craft any job creating legislation during his last several years, and president's have way, way less influence over the economy than people think. But it's not like Trump deserves any credit either for the continuance of a long established trend when he also has not crafted any substantial pro-job legislation yet.

An Unemployment Rate for Blacks almost twice, 74+% higher, than the National Average, does not amount to a win in my mind.
