Perhaps...depending on who she nominated. And if the senate were still majority democrat they would do the same thing to Trump. You know this. Not sure why you are arguing or pouting about it.

Democrats don't have the gumption, stomach or courage to act as ruthlessly as McConnell does, who then gets a pass from every sector of the MSM.

That's the #1 problem with DEMs right now. They won't write ads like those that tie Ossoff to the Scalise shooting .

I used to believe in the inevitability of progress. I used to think that as modernity evolved, the new ideas and ways of thinking would be accepted by society and old, dysfunctional ones would be put to rest- no matter how powerful the forces of habit and tradition. Well, you have Erdogan in the Middle East getting rid of secular democracy there, with the masses cheering him on to restore the Glory of the Ottoman caliphate. Putin wants to undermine systems of democracy around the world and make Russia into a great czar hood again, and so is the darling of the masses there in Russia. And here you have the masses clamoring to dissolve the separation of church and state and bring back racism and misogyny.

Progress is not inevitable. Don't count on any conservative farts going away anytime soon. Sociologists have a word for this: cultural lag. It is far more powerful than people give it credit for.

That's terrifying. Modern technology will give future despots powerful tools of control.

Yes, unfortunately I'm afraid that the emotional maturity of humanity is not keeping pace with its technological growth. It's like having a dangerous weapon like a machine gun in the hands of an orangutan.

The purpose of all these stories is to get Trump tied up with answering and defending himself that he doesn't have time to do anything else.

His attorneys will take care of that for him.

Trump has been sued by hundreds of Toms, Dicks and Harrys and he knows to just let the attorneys handle it.

If it is a real problem then he himself can get involved.
