Adviser says Donald Trump wants to resign

Adviser says Donald Trump wants to resign - Palmer Report

In other words, Donald Trump very clearly wants to resign. His only hangup, according to what he’s telling his own advisers, is how history will end up portraying him.

Oh let's stir up the pot a bit. "Fake news" by post 5, who's in?

It's not that far fetched, really. It was only a few weeks ago that Trump said that he deeply misses his previous life and thought that being president would be easier....

He misses driving, feels as if he is in a cocoon, and is surprised how hard his new job is.

President Donald Trump on Thursday reflected on his first 100 days in office with a wistful look at his life before the White House.

"I loved my previous life. I had so many things going," Trump told Reuters in an interview. "This is more work than in my previous life. I thought it would be easier."

It certainly isn't beyond the realm of possibility. He wouldn't be the first person to find out he didn't like a job that he thought he would.

It had been better to see Trump out of office. If so Mike Pence would step in, and he seems as a civilized and respectable person.

I have no idea if the source is legit, but the premise is certainly plausible. Bottom line, he's a ***** who is not used to hard work, and has always had enough money to abandon what doesn't work and go find something that does. He has that luxury that most of us do not and never will.

I read, many years ago, that President Kennedy once said, "What a lousy ****ed up job this turned out to be.", but I have not since been able to find another verifiable source for it so I don't know if it's true, or not.

The left is incredibly desperate.

Clingy to any piece of news that trump will leave office huh? So you want Pence for president? Or do you have some deluded fantasy where Hillary or Bernie takes over?

Pence would be better. At least he understands how politics works.

I don't know if it's fake news, but it certainly is an article posted by a LW blogger citing unverified sources. Which makes "very clearly" a long stretch.

That sounded more like a Clinton party to me.

It could go either way. I know Obama made fun of the Special Olympics, but I have doubts about him groping a woman. Michelle might.

Bill Clinton? Well now, he's the complete package of abuse.

I don't buy it. I don't think Trump's ego would ever let him resign. Though if he did, we'd get Pence who would be far more efficient at pushing the Republocrat Agenda, though far less embarrassing overall.

the difference is Obama apologized and the sleaze bag in chief revels in it

Must deflect to Bill Clinton...find a way...who cares if he hasn't been President for almost 20 years....

Agreed.

I normally don't buy into the "the world is laughing at us" mantra that has been thrown around fairly often in seemingly forever, because for the most part I really don't care if other countries disapprove, but right now Trump is an obvious national embarrassment.

Pence, I believe, would not only not be a national embarrassment, he would pro-actively strive to heal some of the wounds that Trump has already caused. Pence, at least, understands the dynamics of politics.

I could see Trump resigning, definitely, IF he could do it in such a way as to save face and somehow be viewed as victorious.

He'll resign. Why? Here.

Most important to President Prima Donald, all the people he thought would be kissing his ass by now, the only audience of admirers he ever cared about — Hollywood celebrities, television stars, and wealthy media moguls — hate his guts. They stayed away from his inauguration, won’t return his calls, and avoid being seen in public with him like he’s their imbecile half-brother.

Add to that insult, the only people left who sort of like him are those who he has a long history of assiduously ignoring: the under-educated, underemployed, underfunded, underprivileged, and underachieving underdogs.

Tell me this guy didn't nail it.

re: The Palmer Report

I have already stated twice that I do not know if they are a decent source, but many are mindlessly dismissing it without consideration. (And most [albeit not all, granted] seem to be the more uber-right partisan people, imagine that)

How about, instead of mindless dismissal, you pull up your big boy/girl panties and state *why* the premise is flawed or unreliable. Be articulate. Any schmuck can arrogantly dismiss something. Don't be a schmuck.

There is no way any rational mind can dismiss the idea that Donald is looking for an exit strategy. He is always looking for an exit strategy. It's his MO.
