If that's the case, this individual proved that he is just as bad as the terrorists who ran over innocent pedestrians with a van not too long ago.

That's my thoughts as well. Stooping to the level of a terrorist is not going to end terrorism it just adds one more terrorist.

RIP to the innocent person who lost their life.

Yep..

Who is we?
A person who is mentally unstable and is living in constant fear will eventually snap. No excuse, but see it for what it is and don't act like the many who take one act of violence and blow it out of proportion.
Yes, a hate crime and an act of terrorism. But please don't turn in into a 'got another notch in my belt' moment just because you (general term) want it to be something that it is not.
Unless we know that is wasn't, this is an act by a lone nutcase.

The anti-Muslim rhetoric is partially at fault. We all know that there are enough nuts out there that people will do exactly what this guy did if we keep hammering into them that Muslims are evil.

I think it's a cop out to just blame this on one person.

Where are you hearing this?

So you don't have to be Brown to be a Terrorist?

Seems that someone took it upon himself to extract some revenge.

London mosque attack: Latest updates - CNN.com

I vote we lost our minds.

I don't know about "we" but somebody seems to have lost it.

If it's a good idea to keep things in perspective with regard to which Muslims are terrorists then the same needs to apply in this case and blaming "we" is no better than blaming Islam as a whole.

Very sad. This new favorite method of terror attack is next to impossible to combat.

Has President Trump commented on it yet? He is usually quick to offer his commentary on terrorism in England. I hope he does.

I won't pretend there isn't an anti-Islamic movement of sorts, but I won't pretend the rise in Islamic terrorism isn't a contributing factor to this incident (and others like it in the future, if things are headed the way I think they are).

But you'll claim that a Muslim doing the EXACT SAME THING is working all by himself and his culture and the people around him have nothing to do with what he did... I don't hear that"Muslims are evil.", I hear that there is a problem that is specific to certain Muslims and that there is a substantial number of Muslims remaining silent when they should be speaking out. Now we have this one guy who will thrown out there as a catch-all example that excuses ALL Muslims everywhere for every terrorist attack using "See, it's not just Muslims so you can't even bring up the issue of their faith being part of the problem."

Please show where I did that.

Who is we?

Elements in both sides radicalizing each other, creating more civilian deaths, more radicalization, forever self perpetuating.

One retaliatory attack vs. multiple attacks with only terror as a motivation are certainly the same thing....

We'd all be better served if everyone, and that includes moderate Muslims, condemned the people actually committing these horrible acts.

That certainly sounds nice in theory, but I don't see much interest in condemnation among the moderate Muslims. If you ask me, the biggest problem with Islam is Arabic culture - I'd expect about as much success in getting them to liberalize as I would convincing 17th century Puritans to condemn people for burning "witches."

I don't know. I'm not a fan of any religion, and Islam in particular leaves me shaking my head more than most.
