While surfing youtube the system brought up this article:

Poor people watch a lot of television. Reality TV shows and big ball sports play a big part.

They eat a lot of fast food.

Wake up later.

Tend to have poor hygiene.

Blame others for their own misfortunes.

Have no money saved.

Are very much into sports like football or basketball.

Use credit cards to buy useless things.

Spend money before they have it.

Are more religious and conservative.

Never follow up on their potential.

Have more children and at an earlier age.

I can see "have no money saved" and "spend money before they have it", as both of those are both a result and a cause of poverty.

As for the rest of it, what exactly is it based on? It looks to me like a bunch of crap pulled from the place crap normally comes from.

They are both also encouraged as this is what floats an economic system based upon mass consumption.

The answer we have been giving for decades has been liberal programs. It doesn't seem to have been totally successful. To help, the answer needs to be knowledgeable and honest. And we haven't been that.

You post has hints of racism throughout, that is until you went with this statement ( are more religious and conservative) I then got the trolling.

agreed we have not been knowledgeable or honest

but to give us some credit...we are still moving forward albeit very slowly and now maybe even have stalled and may slip backward for a bit

that pendulum has it's own momentum

That might be something to hope doesn't happen. We have certainly overreached and gone off track by ignoring the rights of many citizens and their Constitutional rights instead of changing the Constitution to be consistent with liberal policies. This has been a deeply flawed approach and is demanding its toll. This is exacerbated by the spreading suspicion that it is worse that this, by the whole structure of the thrust having been as well meaning as misbegot.
