Meet the all-star legal team who may take down Trump

https://www.vox.com/policy-and-poli...ial&utm_source=twitter&utm_content=1497538438

I admit to feeling uncomfortable with these stories coming out. If I were a recently elected President with no government experience, no understanding of Democratic institutions or principles, no understanding of the relationship between the Executive branch and all other branches, a need to protect myself in the short term to the exclusion of all long term ramifications, little or no impulse control and a compulsive need to make my fan base happy, I would fire Mueller right...the hell...now.

The fact that Republican congressmen are calling such a move "disastrous" strongly suggests they're aware the possibility he may go through with firing Mueller is a very real world scenario.
In addition, the Kasowitz law firm represents Russia's largest state-owned bank (Sberbank) and Russian oligarch Oleg Deripaska, a Vladimir Putin crony who had business dealings with former Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort.

If Trump knows what is good for him, he won't fire Mueller. That would be just about the dumbest thing he could do in this situation.

Unless he has nothing to lose, which might be the case if he is seriously guilty.

Hard as firing Mueller was politically before yesterday, it is much harder now that the news is out Trump is under personal investigation. The s...storm if it happens would be sublime.

In considering removing Mueller, Trump is playing an amazingly high stakes game here. Phenomenally high stakes!

It really makes no sense, unless:

1] Trump really is dirty.

2] Trump believes Mueller, the Dems, the media, et al, will manufacture dirt for him.

My biggest suspicion here is a hybrid of #1, above. Just as in his decision to not release his tax returns, I believe Trump has acted through much of his life in the grey Netherworld of the blurred lines between legality and illegality, as some - if not many - with access to extreme power and wealth sometimes do. And he knows in his vast body of dealings there's something he will be hung on. Even if he can't recall doing something spectacularly dastardly.

But there is some underlying reason he seems willing to risk everything, lately. It's greatly perplexing, and I'm dying to know!

He'd have to be on a different planet than his rocker to believe that democrats will frame him by appealing to a completely manufactured story "with" Mueller.

The extent of his established corruption, like Trump University, already should have sent an ordinary person to prison. There really is only option 1], it's just a matter of how dirty he is and how politically undesirable republican constituents find it.

We're at the mercy of GOP self-assessment until 2018 at a minimum, and based on their ridiculous defenses of President Trump so far, we're on course to completely remove accountability from the highest levels of government.

While I ordinarily would agree with that I bolded above, I am not yet ready to impose limits on the depth of Trump's narcissistic paranoia!

Are you?

I'd really like to believe that there are limits to his narcissistic paranoia, but he does make it very difficult to do so.

No sir, witch hunts have become popular because we are ignorant sadistic assholes now...generally.

The Truth Hurts.

I KNOW!

Now you have got to the root of all evil. Witch hunts and the race card are so popular because too many people buy into the lie.

Lol!!

I've known a few people in my lifetime that were so totally screwed-up, I would likely believe just about any story told of them.

Obviously I've cut these people out of my life, after having accrued their acquaintance when I was very young. I haven't freely associated when any individuals like that, since maybe my early teens.

I swear Trump is just like the goofs that I didn't realize were goofs, when I was too young to know better!

It seems pretty clear to me that, however screwed up President Trump is, he's definitively incompetent. Either he's a narcissistic liar, or he's a delusional buffoon: neither explanation merits such considerable economic reward.
