I told you all months ago that this is likely to be the excuse used to get the parasite out of town.

Nothing will come of this, and those who've wanted to keep Trump out of politics for the past 2 years will have shot their load only 5 months into his Presidency.

Congress will not impeach the President over this garbage and then have to face their voters in 2018.

Of course the Republicans in Congress will NOT impeach Trump. That is now a given after all the non-reactions from Republican after Republican for the last few months. Trump could kill a midget on the steps to the Supreme Court building and the GOP in Congress would describe it as a "small offense". And Trump knows it.

They most certainly will to have to face the voters in 2018. Most excellent!!!!

Well, I am hardly a Trumpbot, but my attitude is 'there is an difference between an investigation and finding sufficient evidence' I will also say 'When there is a majority republican house and senate, the bar gets raised for the amount of needed evidence to justify charges'.

The only evidence this occurred is the statement of Mr. Comey, and his "memo's."

Trump has denied the Flynn comment. Trump says he did not ask Comey to end investigation - CNNPolitics.com

They were the only two people present. Mr. Trump and Mr. Comey.

Currently there is no evidence that either conversation was "taped." Secret Service says it has no tapes, recordings of Trump conversations in White House - CBS News

The burden of proof in a criminal investigation is on the accuser, not the accused.

When it is one person's word against another, and no "legal evidence" one of the parties has lied under oath, then the defendant "wins."

The "memos" do not matter. They remain one person's written perceptions of a conversation, and are neither telling, nor dispositive evidence.

IMO, Mueller will end up clearing Trump of this allegation too. :coffeepap:

This entire manufactured scandal is why I, as a millennial, will never vote for a Democrat. The DNC/Media complex has done nothing but invent a phony threat that increasingly moves us towards a hostile showdown with Russia.

And these are the same lunatics who claim that terrorism isn't a threat, trying to force us into a much bigger threat, because they feel butthurted by Trump's meanie words.

Trump is the anchor who keeps on finding the way to drag the GOP down to greater depths. He didn't collude with Russia but he sure did tell the guy investigating it that he wanted a pledge of loyalty and asked him to go easy on one of Trump's cronies, and when he didn't play ball he fired him. Trump is guilty of obstructing justice, not because he intended to do so but because he had no idea what the hell he was doing.

As an unabashed partisan I want the Trumpster in office for the full 4 years. We'll fix the damage. Don't worry. Hopefully it will become apparent to the non nutty majority that the testosterone feel good rhetoric of the right wing is just that and responsible Democrats and Republicans will once again be running things.

You are probably correct in that congress on its own volition will NOT attempt to impeach Trump; however, the outcry from the American public will force their hand.

Not a 'Trumpbot',
but there is not much to say about this. They were bound to create a special council just because of the public, libereal, outcry. You have enough people cry foul long enough and they will eventually have to take a look. That being said, an investigation does not mean proof of anything. We will have to wait until the results of the investigation begin to be published to know if anything has merit.

According to a wholly subjective memo that neither you or I have personally seen. Was it written before Comey was fired? Afterward? The memo was leaked in a very suspicious manner, was it not? Shouldn't that fact prompt skepticism about the memo?

I'm of the belief that on any given day, any elected official could be guilty of doing what Trump supposedly did. But as long as they aren't named Trump, there's very little risk of it being held under a microscope by the media complex.

Sorry, but between Trump's credibility and Comey's credibility, the latter is mile's ahead. Trump's own supporters tell me not to believe the things he says.

I am a registered Independent and have been for years.
