Its sad that it takes a tragedy to see them come together on anything.

It's a nice gesture. I'm glad that we can at least do this. It's nice when we have a common identity, even if it is something as marginal as this.
 
This moment of unusual sanity in Washington will be measured in hours.
 
I found something interesting which probably means nothing. News stories gave the location of the shooter and Scalise in baseball terms because everyone ****ing knows baseball. I.e they said Scalise was near second base because everyone ****ing knows where second base is.

Something to build upon.
 
We feel bad about this too isnt enough from the left. They own this and they must acknowledge it.

Where is the call from the dnc leaders to their supporters to ratchet down the violent rhetoric. Thats what is needed here. Its long past due.

My hope is that leaders will ask for supporters to dial down the rhetoric. If they did and if supporters heeded the call, good would come from what happened yesterday.

Trump supporters should have thought of that during the campaign it's a little late now given all of the violence pushed by Trump. trump supporters wanted violence and it looks like they're getting it now, just from the wrong direction
