Trump may fire Mueller!!

Trump Is Seriously Considering Terminating Russia Special Counsel Robert Mueller

It seems that Trump is being pushed by some of his followers to fire Special Counsel Mueller. Every time I turn around this Russiagate gets more and more like Watergate. I wonder who Trump will get to fire Mueller. And does he really think that will end the Russian investigations and all the other aspects of that situation. It didn't with the Watergate Investigation and I don't believe it will now. The only thing it will do is make it obvious that Trump has something to hide and make him guilty even in the minds of some of those who presently are his supporters. Of course i am sure there are many of you out there that believe he should do so and that he is totally innocent. Maybe he is, but firing Mueller won't help him, only make him seem more guilty.

Not surprised. His followers will love this move too. They act like all his conduct is beyond reproach. Honestly, he'll fire him and make up some bs and it will be okay because.. whatever. Why even attempt to explain anything or act like Trump's actions are rooted in integrity?
 
I could be wrong, but if Trump fires Mueller then I think Republicans in Congress will begrudgingly admit it is time to appoint their own.

I was about ready to dismiss the story but the MSM actually gave us a name: Chris Ruddy. "Considering" is a nebulous term. I "considered" majoring in Art History until I realized I didn't want to become a Starbucks barista.

I don't think Trump will be firing Mueller anytime soon. Of course, Mueller is an establishment hack. If Trump fires the Special Counsel it could just as likely be because he's tired of everyone wasting his time. Comey repeatedly told Trump privately that he wasn't under investigation and yet, Comey continued to allow speculation that Trump was under criminal investigation. If Mueller pulls the same kind of stunt he may also be fired, but again I don't think that's going to be anytime soon.

Prediction: if he fires Mueller - the Republicans will mumble a few small platitudes and do nothing other than shrug their shoulders. And that will be a sign to Trump that he can later take it to the max and become even more of an authoritarian fascist.

And the democrats will have a new plank for their party: redeeming the country's reputation by running againist the corruption that the current administration and congress is getting away with.

Gingrich is a walking slop bucket. He has always been a very slimy person. Nothing Gingrich says surprises me. The man has no ethics.
 
First off, everything that Trump does regarding Russia makes him look more guilty. As such, Trump is either ignorant, guilty or both.

Nixon tried the same tactic and wound up being impeached because of it. Maybe the same thing will befall Trump. We can only hope.

The bad news about all this is if Trump fires Mueller he will eventually be impeached or he will resign. The bad news? Pence will be president. Pence is just as far to the extreme right as Trump.

If Pence becomes President will his wife then be the First Mother? ;)

The investigations won't end just because trump is out of the White House, they need to continue until the truth is found.

Absolutely. I don't like saying it but I suspect there is much more Russian involvement than we know. I wouldn't at all be surprised if it involved many more people in BOTH parties. Neither party has clean skirts. I suspect the Russians have compromised many people in Washington.
