Anyone know what the procedures at the WH are for 'guests' coming to dinner? Is there an open screening for weapons or electronic recording devices? Or is there a 'covert' screening system similar to 'inventory control' in retail stores?
 
I will say if you are invited to dinner you will have to supply identifying information ahead of time. You can guess what the Secret Service does with that. And when you show up you go through something akin to airport security, except the screeners are far more competent. You aren't going to learn much more than that because any behind-the-scenes stuff going on is classified or sensitive information.
