Kurt Eichenwald is pretty strange

So the story goes that at some point Kurt Eichenwald showed a screen capture on his computer and accidentally showed that he had a browser tab opened for "Tentacle Porn". That would be embarrassing... but what turned this crazy for me is his attempt at an explanation. He claims that the tab was only open because he AND HIS KIDS were trying to prove to his wife that Tentacle porn exists.

How in the world is browsing tentacle porn with his kids less embarrassing than people believing you were doing it alone? Criminey. He'd have been better off letting people assume.
 
Yeah, I was semi-following that today. Pretty bizarre.
 
It got my interest peaked so I googled tentacle porn. Apparently it is extremely popular in Asian porn markets.

up until a few minutes ago neither did I. PlayBoy and Hustler were just fine growing up didn't need to add squid.

I was unaware of this stuff till this OP, but I still don't understand the problem.

His explanation sounds innocent enough. As to searching it with his children? It animation; they'd probably be going "oooh ugh!" and laughing...I doubt their psyche's would be irreversibly damaged.

What's the big deal? :confused:

If it was live action, even if fake squid, would you still be saying big deal? Should cartoon pornographic images be viewed as different than live action?

To me his explanation is entirely plausible. Honestly I just went and told my wife "guess what I found out, there is such a thing as tenticle porn". :lol: If had been one of my kids (adult) that had brought it up we would have searched to show my wife if she remained skeptical.

Not everyone talks kink with their kids. I would guess more people find that weird than don't.
