Without the SP, sure. Trump fired Comey to impede and slow down the Russia investigation. Whether or not he was successful is irrelevant. People get in trouble for attempting crimes all the time. Besides impeachment is a political process.

Did the Saturday Night Massacre stop the Watergate investigation?

This was my reaction to the whole thing. I highly doubt Comey is going to say anything that will be incriminating because it would likely incriminate himself in the process.

EDIT: If he were to request and then granted immunity though, then all bets are off.

If Trump commits a crime worthy, you'll see that. But removing Trump just because his Presidency causes mentally unstable people to froth at the mouth... well the Dem's just lack the power.

Or maybe we can just remove the mentally unstable POTUS before he does any further damage.
