What Trump Wants To Bring Back To Pittsburgh

Last time I checked (which admittedly was a few years ago), coal never left. We're still using about the same amount we always were, both here in America, and worldwide. We just use more energy overall in our daily lives necessitating supplementation with oil, natural gas, and now "green" energies like solar and wind.

Coal has gone down from 53% to 34% market share in energy output over the last fifteen years. Coal never left but it's not the king that it once was, either.

Sure--that's consistent with what I wrote. We're actually using more coal than we did in the early 20th century. We've just added other sources that are comprised by more of the market.

Did you not understand what he meant by that comment?

Yeah, that he had no idea what the Paris Agreement was even about.

Where in Trump's comment about Pittsburgh did he say anything about coal?

He doesn't need to. He has said, time and again, that he would make coal a major industry again.

Wait, was Pittsburgh like that before O'Bama bypassed Congress and committed the US to the Paris Agreement? Yeah didn't think so. Your utterly moronic attempt at propaganda is noted.

What are you even talking about? :doh

Great. Another dopey alarmist strawman.(Groan) As if Pittsburgh would look that if we withdrew from the Paris accord.

Of course it won't because most Americans won't allow it to happen and Trump won't be able to roll back all the regulations he wants despite his intent.

Ah, doubling down with a little feigned ignorance. Oy vey.

Pittsburgh is no longer like that because the people wanted more pollution controls/regulation, the very things you and Trump want to roll back. The air didn't simply clear up because of the magic of the free market.

What is the point you are getting at?

Your OP was suggesting that someone wanted to keep Pittsburgh mired in air pollution and thank God environmentalists were there to fight to get rid of pollution.
You weren't trying to suggest the problem of pollution then is like the concern among some about CO2 now, were you?
Please tell me you aren't being serious...

I was just reminding you that your picture wasn't showing CO2 since you can't see CO2.
That's when you intimated that I wasn't being serious.

Okay.

You weren't trying to suggest the problem of pollution then is like the concern among some about CO2 now, were you?

I was not addressing CO2, specifically. I was implying Trump's desire to rollback nearly all regulations is misguided as regulations helped cities like Pittsburgh clean up their air.

I never said it was C02. I never mentioned CO2.

That's when you intimated that I wasn't being serious.

The fact you brought up something I never mentioned made me question your seriousness.

Okay.

Oh.
Okay.
So by mentioning environmentalists vis-a-vis pollution you weren't subtly trying to draw a parallel with climate alarmists vis-a-vis CO2 since there's no parallel.
Good.
Have a nice day, my friend.
