I have been listening to the talking heads on CNN and MSNBC and they seem to think that this decision will cause China to be the new leader in the world when it comes to businesses tied to Climate change. The problem is that there are many more jobs coming down the line from Climate change than any attempt to go back to coal or even fossil fuels of any type, but especially coal. China is investing 360 Billion dollars this year alone to change their economy from fossil fuels to clean energy and with Trump we are trying once again to turn back the clock. With the leadership of trump and the GOP we are soon going to be a third world country.

Lol...no. If it's a winning strategy then companies will do what is needed with or without the treaty. The only thing the treaty will do is entangle us in something in a way that might disadvantage us. Why do we need to sign some treaty to make stuff happen in our own country?

Further, it weakens our sovereignty.

I don't see how China will be a big winner beyond a short-term public relations credit.

They are one of the top polluters, and while they have signed off on the accord there is this little problem:

Lack of Binding Enforcement...that member states of the United Nations, including high polluters such as China, the US, India, Brazil, Canada, Russia, Indonesia and Australia, which generate more than half the world’s greenhouse gas emissions, will somehow drive down their carbon pollution voluntarily and assiduously without any binding enforcement mechanism to measure and control CO2 emissions at any level from factory to state, and without any specific penalty gradation or fiscal pressure (for example a carbon tax) to discourage bad behaviour.

So the Chinese signed off, but that does not necessarily translate into actual action.

No, just the opposite. China, India and a few other countries would have been the big winners if we had stayed in this treaty. The Treaty would have put huge burdens on our economy driving most US manufacturing jobs to places like China and India who have no requirements in this treaty that they have to abide by.

If President Trump had kept America in this treaty it would have made worldwide pollution and the environment even worse. China and India have no EPA or environmental regulations of any kind. American manufacturing moving to those countries would be an environmental disaster.

There are no jobs coming from the Climate Change/Green Energy Industry, if it were viable it would not need the Govt giving it billions of dollars in subsidies. Some day the Green Energy technology will be there, and when its needed as long as America has a Free Market Non-Socialist economy we will lead the way in that as we always have with everything else.

There are two problems with this treaty: 1. It's entire premise is based on the Leftist fraud/scam known as Man Made Global Warming. 2. The entire to agreement comes down to America giving up wealth to the rest of the world with almost no one else having to sacrifice.

"The Leadership of Trump/GOP turning us into a third world country?"
With news of Trump pulling America out of the treaty the stock market hit record highs. The last couple of months we have had the overall best economy in 10 years. You don't seem to informed about what a 3rd world country is.

Have you ever read about the accord, it entangles us in nothing. There is nothing we "HAVE" to do. It is all voluntary. Of course Trump never said anything about what the accord really says. He knows no one actually looks into what this accord does and doesn't do. What it did do was make us one of the possible big leaders and winners in the new energy wars. The war we just lost due to Trump's political action. Yes, what Trump just did had nothing to do with business, but with pleasing his base of stupids.

If you are correct then it doesn't matter if we are part of it or not, so why all the crying?
