Dems and Gop can't agree on crap and independents have no power.

Should states just become their own nations at this point?

Nah. We'd have mass transit driving down consmption and we'd get our fuel from Canada and Mexico. Oh... and California is the biggest farming state in the country.

Cali is yes but its still only 12.5% and a lot of that is grapes for wine. Illinois is the only other top producing blue state at 4.6%. all the rest comes from red states.

Surely the time has come for states to become their own nations. Surely the thought of the United States has failed.
The left and the right can't agree on basic stuff anymore. And those who claim the middle has zero power to make any impact. Are you not tire of hearing the other side opinions they think your wrong you think they wrong both sides thinks the other side is lying let's just break up already.

That is the two party system we have. What is needed is a viable third party. Over the last 4 years the percentage of those who identify with the two major parties fell from 65% of the electorate down to 57% today. Democrats from 35 down to 30 and Republicans down from 30 to 27%. Needless to say, independents or what I like to call the non-affiliated rose from 35% to 43%.

Still the two major parties have all the power and more than when both made up 80% plus of the electorate back during FDR and Truman. The two major parties may not agree on everything else, but they do agree that no third party will ever become viable. Republicans and Democrats write our election laws and they write them as a mutual protection act.

This last election proves the two party system has become a complete failure. 25% of all Americans disliked both major party candidates. 60% plus disliked Trump and 60% disliked Hillary Clinton. Of course Clinton's supporters are among those who disliked Trump and Trump supporters among those who disliked Clinton. If one equates like with a favorable opinion, only 34% of all Americans had a favorable view of Trump, 38% of Hillary Clinton. Neither had much love outside of their avid supporters.

Prior to 2016 there had been only two major party candidates since Harry Truman that had a lower than 50% favorable rating from all Americans. Barry Goldwater in 1964 at 43%, G.H.W. Bush at 46% in 1992. All other presidential candidates had at least a 50% favorable rating or above. That is until last year when Trump at 34% and Clinton at 38% smashed Goldwater's record.

Partisanship and polarization between the two major parties is bringing this country to its knees. For both major parties it is for the good of the party, loyalty to party, not the good for the country or loyalty to this nation. There isn't an American who now serves in Washington D.C. only Republicans and Democrats. Both forgot what it means and is to be American and to put this country first. First over political party. A pox on both major parties. To Hades in a hand basket with them.

Top ten ag states in order.

California
Iowa
Texas
Nebraska
Minnesota
Illinois
Kansas
North Carolina
Wisconsin
Indiana

So three of the top five states are blue/blueish. California, Iowa and Minnesota

Wisconsin is in the to ten and and North Carolina sliding more blue as well lately as they get rid of the illegal gerrymandering the GOP has done.

Bla Bla Bla look in reality no state going really leave unless the GOP gets really upset and so call conservative Christians realize they elected a devil. However I don't see this happening has they would rather roll with the devil then the concept of what this great nation was build on.

Even In a senseless crime we still can't agree.
Rep. DeSantis: Shooting Suspect Asked if '''Republicans or Democrats''' on Field - NBC News
GOP see this as a reason for more guns to defend themselves.
Dems see it as a crazy person who should not have a gun and especially a high powered one.

GOP will blame Dems for the talking points.
Dems will blame the lies and complete disaster that is this current Trump administration and the GOP leadership.

Independents will pick and choose from both sides.
Nothing will ever get done or solved in Washington again.

We are the ones who failed. Instead of the conservatives electing a moderate in the primary, we got Trump. Liberals had no good options. Extreme left or Extreme left. Liberals were so in favor of Hillary before the primaries even began they scared off potential competition. We elect the extremes, and we get what we sow.

I completely disagree in this case in the beginning the media treated trump like the joke he is. But guess what his off the cuff style was the complete opposite of what politics should be. Politics should be boring not a form of entertainment. So you get conservative Christians whom sole their political soul to vote for a pus grabbing lair just to get a conservative on the supreme Court.
It took trumps lies to his uninformed base. It took the Russians via wiki leaks and the FBI to defeat a boring lifetime political nerd. Whom barely lost.

No, we are all Americans and failure is not an option.
This country will die if it remains united. There is no keeping this country together.

I take it you've never been in a household where the husband and wife beat each other on a regular basis? This is America.

And the fire is how America ends. It's all going to burn down.

There are certain states that can function semi-autonomously but it is not a good idea.

Politicians are nothing but hacks and actors interested in their own power.

"and we certainly did not leave the fate of woman's healthcare in the hands of a few republican men"

Yeah, I caught that.

Turning the office of the American president into an absolute joke. Thanks GOP thanks Russia. Thanks uninformed voters.
