So far it's just Canada, Mexico and France. I'm sure Putin is next.
 
Why the hell would Trump try to cut out the State Dept, and expose himself and our National Security to this kind of risk? Heck why would he risk someone listening on his phone calls, the moment he says something untoward who ever is tapping it will leak it and a new scandal will pop up.

This guy does not make good decisions.

Because he's Donald Freakin' Trump and he's smarter than everybody else.

Because he sees it as the way to get things done. Instead of all the bureaucratic red tape of having offices play phone tag and formality, Trump sees this as doing business "man to man" or a way to get more done. It is a efficient to get things done in business settings.

Not so much in politics. I can understand the idea and even how Trump could see it as a good thing. It would even probably be considered a good thing in 1917 as a way to avoid war.

But in our technological advanced age it seems risky and not properly thought out.
