Tiny homes for veterans

I've worked with the homeless population in some capacity for the last 9 years. I cant say how it is in every state. I know very clearly how it works in our state.

I'm not suggesting there shouldnt be programs for veterans...or the homeless. You wont ever find that in my comments. But frankly...I dont much see the reason to place veterans on too high a pedestal. Maybe a foot or two...tops. We all do our job

Okay, fair enough. I can't argue with that.

I think the fact that veterans are disproportionately represented in the homeless population, particularly black and hispanic veterans, means there is likely a broader issue steming from being a veteran that would justify having a special program for them to combat homelessness.

"While only 8% of Americans can claim veteran status, 17% of our homeless population is made up of veterans. In 2010, the Department of Veteran Affairs (VA) estimated that on any given night there were 76,000 homeless veterans sleeping on American streets."
