Whoa...talk about the hammer. If this can be proven, Kushner is dead as a door nail.

FBI investigators are examining whether Russians suggested to Kushner or other Trump aides that relaxing economic sanctions would allow Russian banks to offer financing to people with ties to Trump, said the current U.S. law enforcement official.

Exclusive: Trump son-in-law had undisclosed contacts with Russian envoy - sources | Reuters

Soooo, Trump and Co. did it for the money. Who is surprised about that?

Did what?

Did what?

Hmm...this looks like a pretty good summation.

It should be remembered that you don't need to knowingly be considered an agent for a foreign country in order to still be an agent. It's possible to be compromised to such an extent that you can work for the interests of another country without ever knowing that was the intended design. As someone else pointed out, if he was knowingly an agent, he would have bragged about it by now.

As I said yesterday:

"When taking into consideration Trump's repeated hostilities with our closest allies, his repeated threats not to come to the defense of NATO, his comfort and close relationship with the Russian ambassadors and his willingness to share sensitive classified information with them, passing on fake news stories created by Russians (active measures), numerous people on his campaign and administration who have worked with Russian officials and lied about it, knowingly appointing a foreign agent as his National Security Adviser, and the Russians planning on how to influence Trump through his advisors, and finally the White House wavering on sanctions against Russia, it's my official position that Trump is an agent for Russia."

Trump's blatant actions support my theory.

Saves me a few hundred keystrokes.

I see - so wavering on (giving careful consideration to?) a given foreign policy is doing "it".

Kushner's attorney, Jamie Gorelick, said Kushner did not remember any calls with Kislyak between April and November.

Jamie Gorelick...where have I heard that name before?

Oh my....not her again. Where ever she goes...trouble seems to follow.

I hope this investigation will be over relatively soon.

It is beginning to get tiresome.

New reports everyday...some based on unnamed sources, some based on named sources.

My prediction in the end - granted, based on limited data - is that no one currently in the White House will go to jail, a few will resign, Trump will come out looking naive/foolish/stupid - but relatively unscathed. He will drop in the polls about 5 points.

I want Trump out of the White House as I think he is emotionally disturbed to the point of incompetency. But I think it will have to be either his party abandons him or this drags out until 2020.

My gut does not think the Russian investigation will be enough to end his Presidency.

But I could be wrong...we shall see.

Apparently Republicans would be surprised as they've seen no need in upholding the emoluments clause in the Constitution, as Trump and his family advisers have yet to place their businesses in blind trusts. Add to that the fact that the GOP is fine with nepotism. What could go wrong?

Yep, but even considering changes to Obama policy is obviously a sign of treasonous intent - look it up. ;)

Correction: "changes to Obama policy" for money.

OK, what money was received and what policy change did that money buy?

Read the exact wording of my OP.

Here, let me help you out.

OK, so if it could be proven that a crime occurred then it would be serious. That story could be written about anyone - if it could be proven that Hillary handled classified data in an inappropriate (extremely careless?) manner then... ;)

Keep your eyes on the prize--2018--governor, state houses, federal house, hold serve in the senate;

which CD are you in before I go on a rant about GOTV; Quinn should have never lost .

To answer your question ttwtt78640. Nothing much of anything apparently.

You guys really just don't care at all if Russia worked with them, breaking our laws in the process, do you?

We'll see how much GOP lawmakers from top to bottom hide over the next week and a half .

That remains to be seen - can we at least wait for a charge to be filed before guilt is assumed? We seem to have skipped a step or two and are talking about the appropriate sentence to be imposed on a "person of interest". ;)

I don't recall Trump or Flynn waiting for a charge to be filed when they accused Clinton of a crime.

The GOP continues to say they "want to get to the bottom of all this" while doing little.
