Trump the Laughingstock

Sad truth is the world is actually laughing at the Trump voters. Trump and his buffoonery are just a symptom of their ignorance.

Attacking trump and Gianforte the individuals will only cause GOPs to further circle the wagons.

DEMs can't win in Western and Southern states like MT ignoring their sitting moderate DEM Gov. Bullock and Sen. Tester as campaign surrogates.

Quist was stupid to ignore Tester and Bullock while leaning on Sanders. Gianforte went all in with trump, Pence and the rest and won the proxy war with Sanders.

Attack trumpcare, preexisting conditions, Medicaid cuts, tax cuts for the rich and trump's disastrous budget over the next ten days while DC is on break.

Condemning 18 weeks of scandals will work as long as it's just a part of the message, not all of it. DEMs need to distance themselves from the media if they expect to win in the 35 states of the south, Midwest, plains and mountains. Otherwise, they'll remain an archipelago .

It is not just germans but the whole world. It's not hate it is fear. And not the good kind of fear, But the kind that is created by knowing that america has elected an idiot to rule them.

What bothers me is how many Americans think he is not a dangerous idiot.

**** Donald Trump.

Political leanings, probably not. When the 'news' media takes on the mission of destroying a sitting, legitimately elected president, turning themselves into the political propaganda arm of the left end of the political spectrum, that's much more than 'political leanings', it's more so a case of ideology and agenda driven.
.

It does sometimes seem as if they a picking on every fault that they can. But on the other hand trump does him self no favours and does demonstrtate a complete lack of awareness that lends to the idea that he is not that bright to start with. he is basically unsuitable to the position he holds.
About as much credibility as 'Rosenstein threatened to quit over Comey memo'
(Rosenstein said he didn't).

About as much credibility as 'Comey was going to ask for more money for Russian collusion investigation'
(McCabe testifies to congress the investigation properly resources)

About as much credibility as 'Trump obstructed justice by telling Comey to stop investigation of Flynn'
(Comey testifies before congress that no one interfered or obstructed the Flynn investigation)
(If Comey felt obstructed in his investigations, it would be a felony for him NOT to report it to his superiors in DOJ. He never did).

Trump gave classified secrets to the Russians during their White House meeting
(McMaster later game out and no that didn’t happen, and he WAS in those meetings)

If you compare and contrast the different in the media coverage between Trump and Obama, it becomes instantly blatantly clear. Obama was given every benefit of the
doubt and restraint, as well as political cover, where as Trump is routinely excoriated at ever opportunity.

No, i disagree. the difference here is that obama had the wit, experience and nous to handle his problems as a politician. Trump unfortunately demonstrates that business men are really unsuitable for public positions. They are so full of themselves and their own needs and are used to be obeyed because they own the business that he has no clue what to do when faced with the media or those who feel no need to be obedient to his whims.
It is trump who walks himself into his own mess rather the press trolling him.

Yes, Trump does often cut the legs out from under this own staff to his own detriment. It's something that he has yet to learn, not being a professional politician (to whom it appears this comes more naturally), namely allowing his communications staff the room and time they need to craft an effective communications strategy for significant points of communication, and then not contradict those talking points.
Americans who back trump are making the mistake of thinking running a country is a business and therefor a business man should be good at it. Hopefully trumps incompetence will drive that mistake home. He is a business man. His only alliance is to his own profit. That is what makes a good business man. Note, not ethical, but good as in creating profit.

He's either going to learn this or not. If he doesn't, he's not going to get as far on his agenda as he wants to.

He will not learn, if anything he will do more damage than good. He is a business man who wants people to do as he tells them to do. Not a good philosophy for a president.

Regardless of Trump's foibles, something that he'll never be, is Hillary. I suppose to some, that's already enough

Which basically puts america in the position of that it was not trump who won the election, but it is that hillary lost the election.

I agree that the Democrats need to put together a package of ideas and proposals to compete with the GOP's woeful offerings...
But what do you mean by "DEMs need to distance themselves from the media"?

Trump knows that deadbeats will not pay up without being called out

Bush and Obama tried Mr Nice Guy for 16 years and got nowwhere

You think trump will get anywhere? Bluster and arrogance like his is only comedy for the masses.

Yeah...this...coming from the German equivalent to our own Mainstream Media. LOL!!

Heck, they couldn't even resist spinning a simple statement from Trump into something he didn't say.

Frankly, calamity, if this rag speaks for Germany, then I say screw them. Let they TRY to remove Trump from the White House. Our own fake news media can't do it...what makes them think they can?

Greetings, Mycroft. :2wave:

Merkel has problems of her own - she's facing voter backlash because of her decision to allow unlimited immigration from ME countries into the EU - but she would like to remain as the first female Chancellor of Germany when elections are held this September, so we'll see how that goes.

I did see that Obama got some publicity from the German media the other day when he visited Merkel as part of his worldwide tour, so the spinning of Trump's statement into something he did not say should not surprise anyone! I did wonder at the time if this meant she had gotten over being insulted when she learned last year that the Obama administration had been spying on her and her government, OR if Anything Goes - which has become my "explanation" for what I have been observing lately, BTW, - is the new standard in worldwide politics! :duel

Another circle jerking post about Trump? I am not worried. Lots of Americans are not worried. Who is this 'we' you are speaking for.

People who would like to see an adult in the White House.

The Republicans took over 3/4 of the country without promoting a single idea except saying no to Obama and reminding people who already believe it that Mexicans and Muslims are bad. Think about that.

No one cares about ideas. They react to fears. If the D do not play on that while letting low energy weirdos like Pelosi and Feinstein sell silly ideas that no one really cares about...they are doomed.

Well, I wouldn't consider those European's actions as the new standard in worldwide politics...just the new standard of the Europeans. They were all buddy-buddy with Obama...he was one of them...but Trump threatens them.

Others...those not threatened by Trump...work from different standards. For example, things are much different between Trump and Japan, China, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Israel, etc. Those leaders see someone they can work with...deal with. The Europeans see someone who won't take their ****.

"Everyone"???

LOL!!

You assume much.

I'll agree that Trump causes himself more pain and aggravation than he should. As to unsuitable, I think not. I think it rather refreshing to have an up front, blunt and candid president. I see it as better than all the hedging gobbledygook politi-speak.

No, i disagree. the difference here is that obama had the wit, experience and nous to handle his problems as a politician.

Hedging gobbledygook politi-speak.

Trump unfortunately demonstrates that business men are really unsuitable for public positions. They are so full of themselves and their own needs and are used to be obeyed because they own the business that he has no clue what to do when faced with the media or those who feel no need to be obedient to his whims.

That's you having intimate knowledge of what goes on in the White House, is it?

It is trump who walks himself into his own mess rather the press trolling him.

Already agreed with, that Trump causes many of his own problems. However, the press is not only trolling him, they are actively undermining and trying to destroy him with multitudes of 'anonymous sources' claims, as is the 'deep state' of Obama hold overs, and to my mind that's not right. That's party and ideology over nation, and that's just not right.

Americans who back trump are making the mistake of thinking running a country is a business and therefor a business man should be good at it. Hopefully trumps incompetence will drive that mistake home. He is a business man.

This really only depends on if Trump can learn from his present mistakes. If he can pickup on that, learn from that, and adapt. In this particuarl case, ball's in his court.

His only alliance is to his own profit. That is what makes a good business man. Note, not ethical, but good as in creating profit.

To date, there's been no evidence that this is the case. If you have some, do please, present it, but it must raise above rumors, gossip and innuendo.

He will not learn, if anything he will do more damage than good. He is a business man who wants people to do as he tells them to do. Not a good philosophy for a president.

Business is far less authoritarian than what it appears you are believing that it is. No single leader of a business can make that business successful, he needs a team committed to the common vision behind him to be successful. In this regard, a political leader is the same.

Which basically puts america in the position of that it was not trump who won the election, but it is that hillary lost the election.

And this, somehow, speaks to Hillary being a better president? :lamo Nope. It doesn't.

.

One would like to think those things would be better. However it appears that trump is not making that so.

Hedging gobbledygook politi-speak.
See above as to the apparent alternative.

That's you having intimate knowledge of what goes on in the White House, is it?
It does not require any such knowledge only an awareness of what is being done.

Already agreed with, that Trump causes many of his own problems. It is also nothing new. I am not sure what the distinction is your trying make over party and ideology that has always tried to say that it acts for the good of the nation.

This really only depends on if Trump can learn from his present mistakes. If he can pickup on that, learn from that, and adapt. In this particuarl case, ball's in his court.
He entered the arena with a claim that "only he knows what to do." That kind of arrogance never learns.

To date, there's been no evidence that this is the case. If you have some, do please, present it, but it must raise above rumors, gossip and innuendo
.
try just simple body language. he gives that message out with every movement.

Business is far less authoritarian than what it appears you are believing that it is. No single leader of a business can make that business successful, he needs a team committed to the common vision behind him to be successful. In this regard, a political leader is the same.
No, what a business man needs is to keep an eye on the profit margin and in his case people to follow his lead. he is not a politician, he is a ruler.

And this, somehow, speaks to Hillary being a better president? :lamo Nope. It doesn't
No, what it does is speak of how bad america has got that those are your choices.
