Gianforte loses his temper

In order to be legally provoked, there would need to be a threat from which one needed to defend oneself. There is no way the reporter could be construed as a threat. An annoyance? Sure. Provocative? Sure. A threat? No way.

I would agree that from everything we've seen this is the case, and indeed he has been charged. I find it disturbing that there were partisans even trying to play this off or laughing at the assault of the Press at the hands of a politician. And assuredly, had the R been a D, those laughing would be outraged instead.

The investigation continues, but he needs to be properly punished for this crime. Politicians cannot be allowed to start getting away with assault against the Press.

I haven't picked any side...but I always pick the real side.
Fair enough.

Reading your post, I inferred you were defending Gianforte and his campaign's version of the events. My apology if I misunderstood.

Punished???

Has he had a trial? Has he been found guilty already?

The investigation continues, he's been charged, a crime committed deserves to be properly punished, he'll get his day, but as I said everything so far indicates that he has committed assault and that assault will need to be properly punished. So sorry if that offends you.

partisans....man.

We should find out soon how stupid Montanan GOP voters are.

~ 2/3 of the expected vote was already in via mailed ballots

doubt this will deny him a seat in the house
