DOJ: AG Sessions did not disclose meetings with Russian officials - CNNPolitics.com

Washington (CNN)Attorney General Jeff Sessions did not disclose meetings he had last year with Russian officials when he applied for his security clearance, the Justice Department told CNN Wednesday.

Sessions, who met with Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak at least two times last year, didn't note those interactions on the form, which requires him to list "any contact" he or his family had with a "foreign government" or its "representatives" over the past seven years, officials said.
The new information from the Justice Department is the latest example of Sessions failing to disclose contacts he had with Russian officials. He has come under withering criticism from Democrats following revelations that he did not disclose the same contacts with Kislyak during his Senate confirmation hearings earlier this year.

I don't believe anything will come of this.

I want to hear his excuse. I've said before. The nation's top law enforcement officer can't remember what he discussed with the Russian ambassador, and then fails to report at least 2 more meetings with him, has some 'splaining to do and where his loyalties lie.

Here it is:

"As a United States Senator, the Attorney General met hundreds -- if not thousands -- of foreign dignitaries and their staff," spokesman Ian Prior said. "In filling out the SF-86 form, the Attorney General's staff consulted with those familiar with the process, as well as the FBI investigator handling the background check, and was instructed not to list meetings with foreign dignitaries and their staff connected with his Senate activities."

Sounds plausible.

what sould we expect from some racist, redneck hick from Alabama that lies about pretty much every****ingthing, and has no moral compass, other than $$$$$$$$$$$ from his Russian buds?

If you're living under a rock.

Think about it. How long as he been in the senate? How many foreign dignitaries do you think he's met in his role as a member of the senate? It's got to be a pretty substantial list. However, if the investigation turns up contacts he made in the name of being a Trump sycophant then all bets are off.

Sessions excuse is plausible if and only if: Your head is shoved so far up Trumps rectum that you cannot see daylight or smell a bull**** story.

Or if your head is shoved so far up Trumps rectum that you cannot see daylight or smell a bull**** story when you hear one.

Don't get me wrong. I think Sessions is a slimy son of a bitch. I'd like to see a statement from this FBI agent who told him not to list contacts.

I hate to defend anyone in the Trump administration, but generally those questions on security forms and foreign contact reports exempt meetings that occur during one's official government duties. When I would update my SF-86 and foreign contact reports in my embassy days I was never expected to list the foreign nationals I officially met with. It was only non-governmental interactions I had to report.

Maybe that standard has changed in the few years since I left government service or maybe there is a different standard for his particular position. But this doesn't seem like a problem.

I thought he was already questioned about this weeks ago. and in doing a web search yep.. articles from 3 weeks+ ago talk about him recusing himself from Russia investigations because he had met with the Russian Ambassador twice.
Its interesting the article you linked has a headline "First on CNN: AG Sessions did not disclose Russia meetings in security clearance form, DOJ says"
Apparently they have a very loose definition of being 'first' since this was brought up over 3 weeks ago.
