"If your innocent, why would you take the 5th.?"

Wonder if that Trump comment includes Flynn as well?

I don't think anyone is expecting Trump's supporters to hold him accountable for anything.

Taking the 5th may be a standard precaution that does not necessarily indicate guilt, but that doesn't excuse the Trump crowd for endlessly wailing about people taking the fifth under Obama. Of course, it's not like integrity or intellectual honest have anything to do with DP political debates....

Apparently his short list of lawyers to defend himself during these investigations is down to four.

Odd thing for a guy who's done nothing wrong to look into.

It smells like something is probably there, somewhere, but I don't think that makes it reasonable to assume something is in fact there.

We can't be holding an individual's right to exercise their right against self-incrimination and right to the assistance of counsel against them.

I think when this whole thing finally breaks, it's going to break hard, deep and fast.

Seems everyone is playing Lois Learner before these committees.

Since I have been a member, I seen as you state, Trump supporters not holding him accountable for anything. But then I also seen Obama supporters that didn't hold him accountable either. Par for the course when it comes to partisan politics. You shouldn't expect anything less.

I did not see many Hillary "fans" here since joining in 10/15. I saw a whole lot of people saying some variation of "ugh, bad candidate, I don't like her, but somehow Trump manages to be worse." I was among them.

Obama had a lot more fans than Hillary. Hillary sucked, and quite a lot of people who ended up voting for her will say so.

I was unaware Trump pled the 5 th...

I was unaware that Obama pled the fifth, but that didn't stop Trump and his supporters from endlessly raging against Obama and team because people associated with him (often to the tiniest of laughable degrees) did the same thing.

I wish we could all just brush these things off, but the problem is that they played a very big part in why Trump got elected. For Trump supporters to act like they aren't a big deal* now is dishonest and disgusting.

*They aren't a big deal, but that's not the point. You don't get to create some rule where if someone who agrees with you is petty first, that's OK, but anyone who does anything else vaguely similar can be fairly attacked by that same someone, simply because that someone was petty first. If someone associated with a person taking the 5th is not important - and it isn't - then Trump supporters and those generally opposed to Clinton shouldn't have said anything in the first place. The also should not defend Team Trump now.

It really amazes me, the way Trump can do every last thing he criticized Clinton or Obama for and nobody is supposed to talk about it specifically because it was BS when THEY did it.

It's worse than saying two wrongs make a right. It's saying that committing the second wrong puts one beyond reproach because the supposed victims of the first wrong are hypocrites if they don't fall on their sword the second time around. Please.

Boy is that the truth. It is as though his supporters will compromise any character that they may have just to defend him and his EC victory. Very strange indeed.

Little comes back to haunt Trump.

So long as his Trumpbots blindly believe EVERYTHING he does is good...he can do almost anything.

He is still hovering around 35-40% in popularity. Not enough to accomplish much. Enough to stop the Reps from finding an excuse to impeach him.

Also, I think people are realizing that Trump often says things that he does not mean. He just says them for effect.
