National Security Council (NSC) officials include President Trump's name in memos in as many paragraphs as possible to increase the chance he reads them, Reuters reported Wednesday.

NSC officials insert the president's name in "as many paragraphs as we can because he keeps reading if he's mentioned," the report said.

How anyone over and over again sides with this clown is beyond me. Truly hysterical. :lamo

Sheds a poor light on us all.........I'm thinking of getting my forehead tattooed, so I won't be associated.....

Try "we could have had Hillary" just so you remember why we have Trump. ;)

At this point, only the most partisan Republicans and/or loyal Trump lackeys would not wish she had won.

Reminds me of a recent poll here on DP. Death by fire or nuclear radiation.

Valid point, but it's a little discomforting to see how many Americans were attracted to Trump over all of the other possibilities (Trump won the primaries, remember) and how many are sticking with him no matter what he does or doesn't do. It's a level of (for lack of a better word) tribalism I didn't think possible in the USA.

Nonsense. But a great theory for running Hillary again. ;)

I'm not the only one who did not vote for her that now wishes she had won. But, none of us want to see her run again.

I agree but that was not a display of tribalism - it was a display of rejecting tribalism (choosing from among the establishment sanctioned offerings?) coupled with the feeling that Hillary (the obvious DNC offering) was beatable by damn near anyone. I voted for Rubio in the primary and Johnson in the general yet had no illusions that either would win in Texas.

I interpreted the Trump primary win as a rejection of the establishment on the part of the Trump voters. Sanders embodied that rejection on the left.

What I see now with the Trump supporters is very 'circle the wagons and cover your ears/eyes' kind of thing, which I'm calling tribalism. IOW, just a somewhat different use of terms, I think.

I actually wish we had gotten a much more competent and intelligent anti-establishment candidate in. Someone who would actually try to shake up the system and "drain the swamp".

Clinton was a horrible candidate, and a seemingly overall horrible person... but at least she wasn't a clown.

Not counting instances when he quoted a letter from a citizen or cited dialogue from a movie, President Barack Obama used the first person singular--including the pronouns "I" and "me" and the adjective "my"--199 times in a speech he delivered Thursday vowing to use unilateral executive action to achieve his policy goals that Congress would not enact through the normal, constitutional legislative process.
?I,? ?Me,? ?My??Obama Uses First Person Singular 199 Times in Speech Vowing Unilateral Action

President Obama went all in for Hillary Clinton Wednesday, throwing down his presidential legacy and all his political and racial credentials to try to convince the disenfranchised, bitter "Berners" and rightly unenthused black voters to elect the most establishment and corrupt politician ever to run for the highest office. But as we've come to expect, in an Obama speech about, well, anything, it ended up being a whole lot more about himself than the subject at hand. And, frankly, with Clinton as the subject, it was probably a good move.

In a mesmerizing video, Grabien highlights all the times Obama referenced himself in his speech at the Democratic National Convention Wednesday. The total tally: a stunning 119 times.

As Grabien chronicled, those 119 self-references surpass the 76 times he referenced himself in his 33-minute gun control speech on Jan 5, 2016, the 28 times he brought himself up in a 12-minute speech following a mass shooting Oct 1, 2015, and just barely edges the incredible 118 times he talked about ol' Barry in a 33-minute speech in India on Jan. 27, 2015. Narcissism or just an acknowledgment that the only positive thing he's ever really had is his personal likability? Why not both? . .

THAT is narcissism. Conversely President Trump most often uses "we" and "our" in his speeches.

And you think with trillions of dollars at stake, the establishment globalists would treat some other outsider any different?

IMO, all we are seeing now are well practiced efforts to destroy any attempt to upset the gravy train the Establishment in Washington has built for itself.

The message to everyday Americans is, don't even think you have any voice here - Consider yourselves lucky we even pretend to acknowledge you.....

Absolutely. Republicans/conservatives had every opportunity to pick numerous candidates over Trump.

Depressing how deeply partisan many Americans truly are. It is not healthy for democracy.

The Trumpkins are tribalists, they just started a new tribe.

THAT is narcissism.

Don't think for a second referring to Obama would somehow disarm me on this as I never was an Obama supporter. There is also a major difference: Trump is president. Obama is not.

Whoop-dee-doo, Trump can be trained like a dog. Saying "we" and "our" are classic businessman tactics, not proof he isn't a narcissist. How can you not watch his speeches to the Coast Guard and FBI bragging about himself and crying about how he was the most unfairly treated politician in history *eyeroll* and not see the narcissism in full force? Are you that partisan-blind?

Some posts don't merit any kind of response but 'predictable'. I do wish the Trump haters could be a little more original.

No. I do however think that other outsiders could have built a better team and handled the attacks from the entrenched powers that be far better than Trump has. Most of what is ailing Trump now is self-inflicted. I really don't think Trump expected to or was ready to win the presidency.

Wow what a ridiculously stupid analysis. Let's go ahead and see what cherries i can pick after 8 years of President Trump, who seems to be on a roll if he can squeeze out three or four complete, coherent sentences.

Let's review the topic. The topic is the narcissism of President Trump. Here is the sole on-topic sentence:

Conversely President Trump most often uses "we" and "our" in his speeches.

Why does that matter? What do you think narcissism is?
