His circumstances have changed. I'm all for knocking Trump when he does something messed up. But, it's not his or anyone else's place to tell Melania what to wear. We may not like the people in office, but the office itself means something. And no one tells the first lady what she can wear.

Do what? I was responding to spudmeister quoting me. I don't care what Trump said before, his circumstances have changed. And if he did make Melania wear one, he'd be roasted for sexism. We all know Trump runs his mouth when he thinks he can score cheap points. I'm not getting all worked up everytime a hypocrite is proven to be a hypocrite. I'd never get a free moment. Who really cares about his trash talking from back then, I'm just glad hasn't said something stupid during the meetings.

Thinking about this more. What changed? He became President. What else changed? Why shouldn't he be expected to hold up to his own standards? They are his own standards, aren't they?

If I criticize the guy for behaving a certain way, and then he stops behaving that way, and I criticize him for not sticking to his guns. It's me that is the hypocrite. His circumstances changed, his opinion changed. I can't fault him for that.

I'll save my energy for things that actually affect the price of tea in china.

The main thing that changed for him, is at the time he was speaking as a person used to kissing ass a certain way to negotiate business deals. Now he is the President, the majority of the power rests with him. He can come tap dancing off that plane family guy style. They'll still deal with him. And if they don't, oh well, I guess they can fend for themselves and see how long their fancy education system, and safe neighborhoods last.

He may be an idiot, but he's our idiot. Only we get to have a problem with him. Everyone else should remember that Trump is only the representative of the US, and they are dealing with us all. It's why we got so pissed about Obama's bow, we don't bow.

Frankly, I'm surprised she even went to Saudi Arabia in the first place.

and then wears a yarmulke while at the wailing wall
