I'm calling it right now.

Unless Trump really turns things around, there will be a lot of negatives going against him for re-election. I think even now, we're seeing dwindling support for him and it's really only the hardcore supporters left.

The DNC just needs to avoid another Hillary. Which sounds easy, but also requires that they understand why putting a Hillary up in the first place was a horrible mistake. If they can get their head out of their ass, they can make Trump a 1-term President.

I think you're believing your own push polls.

Trump was not my first choice, but I voted for him, as the lesser of evils. He's doing an okay job, and considering the silly actions by the TDS crowd, he's doing better than expected.

I don't consider myself a "Hardcore Trump Supporter". I never went to a Trump Rally. I never contributed money to his campaign. I voted for another in the Primary. And I'm still behind Trump.

I'd still vote for Trump over any Democratic Candidate that's been suggested as a 2020 Dem Candidate.

Name a 2020 Dem Candidate someone like me, a Working White Centrist, Ex Blue-Dog-Democrat, would vote for?

The fact is, in 2016, the Democrats lost the majority of the Blue-Dogs and the Working Whites, and the Party is allot smaller now, than it is admitting. Even to themselves...

The Democratic Party is no longer a National, Major, Political Party.

It is the Party of Andy Van Jones, Keith Ellison, and Sally Boynton Brown.

The Dems can win regional elections, in areas with high "Designated Minority" voter base, but it no longer represents the nation.

Partisans will always back their side no matter what.

But Trump has HUGE negatives against him, and he keeps exacerbating them. There's a reason he's one of the most unpopular Presidents pretty much ever. Hillary lost because she's Hillary and that's what she does. But Trump isn't sitting upon some unbeatable pedestal. He's very vulnerable and not doing himself any favors. So just because you cannot envision voting for a Democrat doesn't mean that the DNC cannot put up a quality candidate, nor that others will not vote for them.

As was last time, 2020 will be the Dem's to lose. They lost the first time, so they have demonstrated that they are quite capable of it. but it's still theirs to lose.

And which Democrat is going to beat Trump in 2020?

Cory Booker?

Kirsten Gillibrand?

Michello Obama?

ooooo, oooo, I know, I know! Lizzie Warren!

None of those candidates will win back the working white vote. Without winning them back, the Dems lose any National Contest.

Probably Bernie Sanders, whose wife is being investigated by the FBI.

I want everyone to read a fact that indicates Trump is likely okay:

Trump's approval ratings are higher than the MSM.

Tell me how your life is worse since Trump has been president?

We're only four months in, and almost nothing he's tried to do has taken effect. By and large the county is still riding high of the good decisions that President Obama made over the previous eight years. America is a big country with millions of people. You cannot change the course of it in four months. Thankfully the separation of powers have prevented most of the biggest disasters, but the nomination of Gorsuch as a supreme court justice will be damaging for decades.

That being said ask the thousands of innocent latino people who's lives and families have been torn apart if their lives are worse. The damage to our education system being done by Betsy DeVos wont become readily obvious for probably at least a year or two, but it's definitely coming.

I could go on and on, but realistically the effects of a president decisions don't generally become noticeable until at least six months after he's made them. I suggest you hold on to your but, cause if he survives the summer at all this is only going to get worse.

Bernie was a bit too old for the 2016 campaign.

I'll grant you that allot of the people who voted for Hillary, would rather, if she hadn't cheated, to steal the primary, have voted for Bernie...

But that's not the critical vote that is needed for the Dems to win in 2020!

The Dems need to win BACK the BlueDogs and the Working Whites, who left the Dems in 2016, to become independents and voted for Trump!

Well, those people are not the Dems who are enthralled with Bernie and the concepts of his Socialist Party.

The BlueDogs and the Working Whites are the Centrist, Moderate, Swing-Voter Democrats who have alway rejected the extremes of people like Bernie and his membership in the Socialist Party.

Still, the Dems would do allot better in 2020, nominating Bernie, than go another round with Hillary!

If the Dems again Nominate Hillary in the 2020 Primary, the party won't even exist by 2032.

pretend is still pretend

I don't know why you are repeating the pretend thingy.

We know that the left is pushing the idea that the Russians tried to interfere in our election, but that they cannot site one single vote that was affected in any way. So this is pretend.

So far we know that nobody knows anything about Russian collusion in the election involving Trump but the leftists all seem to love to talk about it. So this is pretend.

We also know that some people who are unknown are pushing a story about a composition by a person who may or may not have composed it saying something that may or may not be said in the composition. so, this is also pretend.

We also know that the Washington establishment types are all going wild about the whole thing. So, this is also pretend.

What pretend are YOU talking about?

Trump has brought a new entertainment level to Washington. IMO it has taken many people to get use to his unique style but I think people are starting to get use to and normalize his behavior. Trump is good for America because he is bringing more attention to politics.

Trump isn't being impeached. In fact, he will be here another 8 years. Don't listen to the polls. The polls said Trump would lose in a landslide in November.

Put on your seatbelt and enjoy the ride. This is all just background noise. Middle America are busy working and not paying attention to the politics in Washington.

People need to calm down. America is on the rise. You still see people shopping, buying iPhones, groceries, etc...

Get your popcorn, a cold beer and watch all the pundits pull out their hair. RELAX while America thrives. Trump is a showman and this maybe his greatest show yet.

trump crashing the stock market is america on the rise to you? you reside in a very special place.

I am glad that you find such bipolarism - with nuclear launch code access - so amusing...............:(

Bingo. The media and majority of pundits want Trump to fail so they are making this up to try and impeach him. Paul Ryan is a prudent individual and asked for more information. The good thing is, the information doesn't exist. If all you have is memos, you have nothing.

I wouldn't be surprised if Trump leaked the story to the Washington Post himself, or a trump surrogate. The showman is making America great again with style. and pizzaz.

Believe that if you wish. But the numbers tell a different story. I'll stick with the numbers anytime. From the beginning, say 20 January till today Democrats have been against Trump to the tune of 90%, steady, basically no change. Republicans for Trump to the tune of 85%, again, basically steady with only a point or two here or there up or down. I gave you the independent numbers. The trend in independents have been all down hill for Trump. In five months Trump has gone from a positive or plus six with independents backing him to a negative or minus 12 with now independents being against Trump.

Being independents or what I like to call them, the non-affiliated don't have a horse in the stables so to speak. They're not an automatic for or against Trump like most Republicans and Democrats. They can be influenced one way or the other. They bear watching. Especially since quite a lot of Republicans don't think or look at Trump as a Real Republican. They look on him more as a interloper, an opportunist who took advantage of a huge field to win the nomination. Some look at Trump as a Democrat wolf in Republican sheep's clothing or an independent at best. Those Republicans won't be there to support him when the going gets tough.

Mark my word on that. There are already cracks in congressional Republican support for him. Most of that was and is Trump's own doings.

Not even close to the worse days of 2008.

Which were due to a massive mortgage bubble and the massive finance bubble tied to it bursting. You'd expect it to be huge.

A President's self-inflicted damage causing a huge drop is a different story. Even if it recovers, it shows that the rest of the world is watching and isn't buying Trump Spin.

"Even if it recovers"

That's a bit extreme isn't it? Of course it is going to recover. Smart investors are probably licking their chops right now and getting ready to pounce on good deals.

I meant more of a quick near-term recovery. Things would have to be very bad for it not to improve over years, no matter what the cause of a given drop/crash.

That's true but a crash is a crash

The market picked up proving my point. People are starting to normalize Trump's behavior.

The Trump scandal is nothing but a media fabrication flamed by alarmist liberals. With Trump/Pence the market will skyrocket. Trump is the most pro-business president since Herbert Hoover.

look, I like Trump but I'm not blind. He's making mistakes, but I chalk most of those mistakes up to him not being a seasoned politician. Brit Hume last night said he should get some seasoned political veterans in his inner circle who knows how to navigate these waters. he's right. So I'm hoping Trump will learn quickly on the job and figure out how to do the politics side better. I think he has done a great job picking a cabinet and a good job on policy, and Neil Gorsuch was a perfect decision. so we shall see going forward how this all goes. no one can say.

If he keeps doing stupid s*** he is never going to get a chance to be pro-business.
