FAIRFIELD (CBS13) — Only on CBS13, we’re hearing from one of the two undocumented workers detained at Travis Air Force Base by Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers.“I am a good guy,” Hugo Mejia said. Mejia is being held at the Rio Cosumnes Corrections Center in Elk Grove, facing deportation back to Mexico.
He asked to speak for most of the interview in Spanish.
Mejia told CBS13, he came to the U.S. looking for an opportunity “just like anybody else.” The only crime he says he committed is that he came here illegally. But he said his country (Mexico) doesn’t give him an opportunity for a future.

USAF Security had it handled. The two guys were reported to ICE. What secure areas did they breach? None that I can see.

I could give a **** if he's a GREAT guy to be perfectly honest. Josie, or what his freaking name is.........................is getting a free ride back to the border.

Now back on subject, your original comment to me was that I was doing base security wrong, so stick to the subject or move on.

Ok, to be clear: I'm calling BS. That's not how base security works. Moving on, what's up with apologizing for those picketed as racists.

I go through the gates of a Navy Base almost every single day. You are the one who's BS'ing here. It was a problem throughout the Hampton Roads area military bases for years.

The subcontractors in the area used to be allowed to go to the pass office with the ID's and E-verfied documentation of the workers to keep the lines down. I lived it, and have handled the paperwork myself, so don't tell me it didn't happen. My wife experienced the same BS when she was a drywall foreman working on Gov't jobs locally. The system was broken at the time.....period! You can ask any contractor on gov't jobs. E-verify was and and still is a BS system.

The base police find stragglers on the base all the time.

2-3 years ago, the gate guards let a truck driver on the base with no ID, and he ended up picking a ship at random and he went up to the quarterdeck and shot & killed a sailor.

I've worked as a civilian contractor, and they did a thorough background check prior to hiring. You insult flipoantly without understanding the issue.

Again, if you knew this concerned PRIVATE contractors.....and have a modicum of understanding of how they OFTEN fail, you wouldn't ask such dumb questions. Private contractors hire undocumented aliens.....thats how they got on the base. Hurr-durr.

And another thing, up till 2-3 years ago, they used decals on the vehicle and only required the ID of the driver unless there was some upgraded security level going on. Now they scan ID's.

You just got your ass handed back to you after calling me a liar on how illegals got/get on base, and now you resort to your usual nonsense.

I showed the wife your post where you called me a liar, and she says to tell you to get a clue. She used to have Mexican workers with 2-3 NC, IL. & Md. drivers licenses, and multiple phony SSN cards. And they all got on base when she had to do some BS gov't job.

Base decal or daily window pass, driver ID, documents for the passengers through e-verify....................................... which had a 50% failure rate. :roll:

Get a clue before you chime in next time on what is BS or not about getting on military bases. Norfolk, Little Creek, Oceana, all still have routine crap going on with unauthorized people being found on base.

Yes, you did show how silly you are. With the heightened security and awareness, plus the new admins push to weed out illegals it's amazing that these two had jobs. Hopefully this will lead to more scrutiny moving forward and help prevent unauthorized persons from being hired on our military bases. And yes, there was a typo, my apologies for not catching that when I posting from my phone.

Your OP is fake news. There's no story. Two illegals are hired by a contractor and are detained by base security until ICE responds and arrests the two illegals. With the scant information we have there is NO information that suggests base security dropped the ball. Meanwhile you and RetiredUSN start screaming like your hair is on fire.

From all we do know it is about base security doing their jobs as they were trained to do.
