I could have told you this without a poll but just in case anyone doubted it:

Since Trump announced his decision to fire Comey Tuesday, hyperbolic allegations have flown the president obstructed justice, engaged in a cover-up, undermined the credibility of the FBI and even engaged in Nixon-style taping of conversations . But a NBC/WSJ poll released Sunday found 32 percent of Americans didn’t even have an opinion of the Comey firing.

“That 32 percent of Americans don’t have an opinion of the Comey firing shows that this story isn’t resonating in the rest of America the way it is in D.C.,” Axios co-founder Mike Allen wrote Sunday.

So if 32% don't care and 29% approve....then does that mean that 39% disapprove of Comey's firing?

Most people who work for a living hang up the ****ing phone when some pollster calls.

I think it's hilarious that Democrats were all over the media talking **** about Comey after the Hillary emails -- they said he was breaking the law, abusing his power, had no credibility and he should step down from his position. Now Dems think it's awful that Trump fired him. LOL! So predictable no matter what party is in the WH.

So more people disapprove than approve...yet the headlines say little about that. So what are we supposed to glean from this?

The headlines will say whatever will get people to buy their newspaper or watch their network no matter what the truth is.

There's another thread on this in the MSM section, but people answering no opinion doesn't mean they have NO opinion at all, just that they can't answer in the binary with the way the question is asked. Its a difficult question to ask if you approve of Comey being fired, because I do think he should have been fired, but not now. Either by Obama (which woul d have been its own scandal), on Jan. 20th, or it shouldn't happen. A smart President would know this.

Yep, it would be interesting to know how many of that 39% have any idea who Comey is. ;)

That the OP was a defense of the indefensible? But, as Seinfeld so eloquently put it, there is nothing wrong with that.

I'd bet money that all of them did. lol

That is not so - I've seen folks here that called Comey a prosecutor. Was it not the FBI director acting as a prosecutor that was said to have got him fired?

sorry, gave you people to much credit to get the point.

the quote about the issue not projected out past DC came from the guy who started Politico, so it's a liberal newsman saying this "scandal" isn't important across the country.

see, when 29% agree with the firing and 32% don't care, that's 61% who either approve of Trump's actions or don't care about them at all. that means the quote is accurate. the scandal is big in DC, and that's pretty much where it ends.

If you have further questions about the obvious don't hesitate to ask. this is very tough math to understand. I get it.

Actually it is 71% who disapprove or don't care, JoeTrumps. :)
