Rod Rosenstein Says He is Not Resigning and Never Threatened To.

Rod Rosenstein is not resigning and has never threatened to do so. The final definitive account came from the Deputy Attorney General’s own mouth. Liz McKernan, a Senior Online News Producer at Sinclair Broadcast Group, managed corner Rosenstein in Washington and managed to pry the answers out of him as he walked down a hallway.

“No I’m not quitting,” said Rosenstein.

When pressed about whether he threatened to quit, Rosenstein responded “no.”

Here's a list of major players who say that there's no evidence that Trump colluded with the Russians, including Diane Feinstein and James Clapper. Yet the fake news memes on that still dominate the news media.

And here are 4 other false memes debunked by Cris Chillizza.

You can't even trust the mainstream media on how many scoops of ice cream that Trump had for dessert.

If they produce a negative report on Trump (and they do little else these days) then the odds are better than even that it will prove to be false later. But there will be no retraction or correction.

They aren't worth paying attention to any more, which makes discussion about their reports rather pointless.

Some one will come along and say your wrong, then go on a long winded rant about how trump is a verryyy baaddd, man.

You're on the right track with your thread title.
You should apply this to every thread you start as a disclaimer.

Starting a thread on a topic said to be unworthy of discussion is rather odd. ;)

Years ago, a co-worker and I were laughing at the small minded and easily distracted co-workers that surrounded us in the workplace.

Rumors were circulating at all times about various topics. He asserted that the best rumors were those with little or no foundation.

They seemed to be attributed to a friend of a person they hardly knew who was not known to them. however that unnamed and unknown source said that something happened and that it reflected poorly on an authority figure.

Whatever it was that might have happened was then used to explain why the unknown source was outraged and was then used to justify/explain/expose injustice.

The less that was known, the more outrage was justified.

This is the normal, every day, habitual action of our modern day press.

They know nothing, quote nobody, source nothing and present the rumors as facts.

It's really an embarrassment.

I heard a network reporter spend about three sentences in what should have been the lead of the story present a series of if/then propositions and then go on to discuss the resulting fantasy like it was a fact.

Disgusting.

That anybody believes a word that comes out of the White House is mind boggling.

Those in the know says we are wise not to believe ANYTHING the mainstream media is reporting regarding President Trump or his administration. Apparently ne'er do wells are feeding all manner of fake news to the media who make headlines of it. And when the stories are completely debunked they never put up a headline with the accurate information. So the anti-Trump numbnuts continue to post/tweet/copy and paste etc. the false information for days, weeks, or months.

Their anti-Trump TDS is as obvious to everyone as it is detrimental to them. It's just that they've not realized it, and whether they will or not.

Trump lied 477 times in his first 100 days alone, and the White House as a whole contradicted itself so often in the course of the past week that meaning was pushed outside of space and time.

But no, somebody in the White House is telling the truth this time.

Really.

Well, I must admit that seeing the Left twist in their underwear is entertaining though. ;)

My thoughts exactly, Low Down. The ONLY people interested in the leftist baloney are the leftists in Hollywood and politics i general.

Main Street wants to know about jobs, tax cuts, cracking down on illegal immigration, what's in the House legislation re healthcare, and those things that EFFECT them. MSM is obsessed with running from one "attack" to another.

And nobody cares.

I suppose I should qualify that, but I am a one woman wrecking crew opposing political correctness of all kinds, so I think I'll let it stand. :)

Here is a definition of 'political correctness' you may appreciate:

"Political correctness is a doctrine fostered by delusional illogical, minority and promoted by mainstream media which holds forth the proposition that is entirely possible to pick up a piece of **** by the clean end." Anonymous.

Gentle correction. I care. I am absolutely horrified and very VERY angry at the antics of the anti-Trump crowd, that includes most of the mainstream media, who are obsessed with destroying him and are interested in absolutely nothing else. But I strongly believe that main street cares strongly about those issues that affect all of us and our quality of life.

On the "Trump gets two scoops of ice cream to everybody else's one scoop" revelation by CNN who thought that merited a headline, I loved the photo Drudge used to accompany the link to that story:

The media has been reporting non stop Comey stuff, most of it purely bogus, for days now, and the public could care less. Calculating posts in response to stories of most interest to those millions of people:

That was a fun read. A lot of people taking pains to say that they have not seen evidence of collusion or are unaware of such evidence but none are flat out stating there is none.

Good one. I'm afraid my definition isn't nearly so charitable. :)

Yes I am sure we will soon get back to raising premiums on those with preexisting conditions and cutting taxes for the wealthiest Americans.

I wish. At least we would be debating something real however dishonestly it is presented.

The important thing for those with any intellectual honesty left is to hold in suspicion ANYTHING the media prints or broadcasts about Trump these days, because so much of it just isn't true or is being depicted dishonestly.

One thing I have noticed is these false narratives are being debunked a lot quicker these days. Those you listed were debunked within hours. I find the way the press is behaving to be one of the most dangerous issues we face as a nation.

Good morning, Vesper. :2wave:

:agree: and it's about time, too! Using lies and slander to discredit someone is dishonest and disgusting, and that applies to both parties!
