I didn't find your quoted line in the story. I can't imagine Cornyn making a statement like that.
Anyway, the story is just another illustration of a university system that leans so far left that nobody with anything different than a far left point of view will be welcome on campus. That to me is the most tragic thing that has happened to U.S. education in my lifetime.
