It seems that the Trump White House will keep trying out excuses for their actions until the GOP leaders give their approval. With the Comey firing the end product is that Comey wasn't doing his job. Well he was doing just fine a week ago, but when Comey wanted to increase the Russian investigation instead of killing it, Trump decided that Comey wasn't doing his job. That means in this White House he wasn't doing as Trump and the GOP wanted. Loyalty to Trump and the GOP is far more important to Repubs than loyaty to the country. You know it is party before country every time with them.

That's Ok, his Supporters Love being Lied to!

No excuse please the chronic trump haters within the republican senate

They are as bad as the democrats

That's partially unintelligible (kinda like Trump)

So it's everyone against Trump is it? Hmm, maybe the issue is not everyone, but Trump?
Just a thought you may not have had on your own!

This idiot not only Lied to the public, he put it in a letter, signed it and published it.

:lamo. Now that's Stupid :lamo

Amazing isn't it Maggie? So many wanted Comey fired a long time ago. When it finally happens they cry foul claiming that Trump is only doing this to stop any investigation into Russian collusion. Never once admitting that this is not going to stop any investigation. That the investigation is still continuing. And that it is not just the FBI that is investigating any Russian collusion. The answer to whether or not Trump & Co. actually colluded with Russia WILL come out.

And frankly I hope that it happens soon because the longer this drags out the worse it gets for America. I don't care what side the hammer falls on. I just want this to be done and over with.

I'm sure you can prove your assertion? Right? Are you even going to attempt to?

Pelosi didn't fire Comey, Trump did. How did you miss that?

One tweet, that recognizes what Comey did was wrong (politically)? You do understand that if the FBI is bipartisan/non-partisan, it will politically piss off both sides, right?

But if you want to play that game, so be it, lets see what TRUMP said about it, considering he's the one that ACTUALLY FIRED Comey:
OCTOBER 28, 2016 - The day Comey announced the FBI was investigating new Clinton emails
"The FBI - after discovering new emails, is re-opening their investigation into Hillary Clinton," Trump said at a rally in Manchester, New Hampshire. "I have great respect for the FBI for righting this wrong.
10/13 "I tell you what, what he did, he brought back his reputation. He brought it back. He's got to hang tough. A lot of people want him to do the wrong thing. What he did was the right thing." - Trump
11/13 "I respect him a lot. I respect the FBI a lot," Trump said.

Why did Trump fire Comey?
WH says deputy AG recommended it based on how he handled HRC. But didn't Trump above just praise him? Oops!
WH oops, they say it was because FBI staff lost confidence in Comey...yet report on that says that's entirely untrue, just the opposite
It's leaked that Comey was asking to enlarge the investigation, and Trump was furious
WH denies it
leakers confirm it

It's a **** storm of Trump's own making, has nothing much to do with liberals, they are just along for the ride.

It's an odd one, because it would seem Come would have been all kinds of wrong to reveal to someone that is part of an investigation, details about the investigation in that way.
You think that's more likely than Trump lying? Maybe, we'll certainly see.

I find myself wondering what might have happened to Trump if the Russians and Chinese hadn't bailed him out of his bankruptcy problems.

I find myself wondering what might have happened to Trump without getting 50 million in front money from his father.

Right. And the left hated Comey until they loved him.

Can't make it up....

Address my post. Don't talk past me with what YOU want to talk about. Address the hypocrisy of the Dem Party, why don't cha?

Address the hypocrisy of the Dem Party, why don't cha?
I just explained to you in detail why:

1. posting pelosi nonsense is irrelevant to Trump firing Comey in a thread about the WH firing Comey
2. that the reasons why people are concerned about how Trump fired Comey are not hypocritical <- exactly what the point was for you

In a thread about the myriad of bull**** reasoning the white house told the public when they bungled the Comey firing, we're supposed to focus on Pelosi?
Talk about Dems? You dragged out the Pelosi bull**** meme, not me, and it opens you up to debating it.

Are you saying I personally wanted Comey fired for his busting on Clinton at that time? I don't remember being outraged at all by it, I recall my wife was, but not me. Are you saying people in this THREAD are being hypocrits? Name them please.

You're the one talking past the OP with Pelosi and the Fox news meme, and you know it.

God! I'm not saying posters are being hypocrites. I'm saying the Democratic Party is being hypocritical. Want to, you know, address THAT?

Considering the democrats have no power in the presidency, nor the house, nor the senate...
and the OP is about the white house clown-show of messaging,
I suppose I figured it was just a straw man to talk about random democrats comments from before Trump was in office.

Once again, its the timing, and how it was handled. Do you think it's hypocritical if you praise them for X, then berate them for Y? It's two different things Maggie.
Do you think the white house lied about why they fired Comey?
Do you think the timing looks good?

Now Trumpy is calling Comey a Showboat :lamo

Flip Much?

I don't think the WH lied about why Trump fired Comey. Why? Because I'm not trying to jump to conclusions to support a meme that Trump is corrupt. There is no evidence, not a shred, that he fired him for any other reason than he declared. And, as for timing, it is very apparent to me that no matter WHEN Comey was fired... unless it was two years down the road after investigations were done... the Dms would be singing this very same song.

I will state with virtual certainty that the White House lied about the reasons for Comey's dismissal.

No, your thread on that same topic evidences that when he came into office, or after the investigation, or if he'd have at least done this more professionally...all would have been much better and far less controversy. You trust Trump, I get it. Actually I don't, but there it is. No matter what he does or say, you trust him. I don't call that trust, I call it blind faith.

We're alike in another way. No matter what Trump says or does, you think he's either lying or dead wrong. ;)

I call THAT extreme partisanship.

I didn't at first MaggieD. On these forums, i actually defended him during the campaign! no lie! My wife was worried at one point that I might vote for him (i'm prone to devil's advocate and being hopeful).

It was his consistent claims and behavior that led me to form that conclusion. That's how I thought most people do trust. Trust, verify, and once that trust is lost, it takes a lot to build it back up.

Well said.
