Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) said he's seen no evidence of collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia, accusing Democrats of pushing a "huge myth."

Paul said Democrats will now clamor for a special prosecutor to look into the matter following the firing of FBI Director James Comey.

I remember when Democrats were enraged when Trump said he was looking into hiring a special prosecutor to look into Hillary's situation. Now they are clamoring for a special prosecutor for Trump?

Hypocrisy defined.

Yes indeed. Now, the Left is dumping on Hillary. Is Hillary the most cheated on woman in history, or what?

There aren't many times I disagree with the Pauls, but this time I do. The "it was because of Hillary's emails" excuse is quite possibly the most absurd one he could have lied. Trump is lying through his teeth (again), and its obvious, and Rand Paul needs to forget about the GOP and save his political career by distancing himself from the buffoon-in-chief as much as possible.

I think the Hillary email thing was used as a justification to get rid of him. The "real" reason, I suspect, has something to do with the leak investigation.

^The it was because of Hillary thing, is probably the worst political excuse I've ever heard. Worse than Bill's "I never inhaled"

Okay, well release your tax returns and appoint an independent prosecutor then. If there's nothing to hide, then quit acting like someone who robbed a ****ing bank Trump.

Hillary cooperated with all investigations and the investigators found no criminal actions. Trump continues to fire people who are in the process of investigating him. Do you really not see the difference here? It's almost like Trump doesn't realize he's not hosting The Apprentice anymore.

Partisans are going to be partisans. But plenty us wanted a special prosecutor for Hillary AND want one for Trump.

The Democrats have thrown Hillary overboard. The most cheated on, Democrat woman, in history.

Comey listed Hillary's crimes, but stated he couldn't find intent, so didn't file charges. That news conference was because of the Lynch/Bill Clinton meeting on the airplane. The Demos have been dumping on Comey for months.
So Trump fires him and where is the gratitude for protecting the honor of Hillary Clinton?

Now, the Democrats don't care about Hillary, it's all about the focus on the Russian collusion, which no one can prove anyway. Hillary's charge that she was denied because of Comey, got kicked to the curb. The Demos are pissed because their focus is all about some Russian connection. Hillary has been dumped on again. :lamo

If it wasn't for Hillary's illegal email server and related matters, and the Left's attempts to run interference for her, we wouldn't even be where we are today.

LOL! How's the investigation into 5,000,000 illegal aliens voting going?

You mean all those illegal "criminal" aliens that receive healthcare paid for by the taxpayers of America? The ones who get driver's license privileges and sanctuary protection status?
They are still being investigated and deported. Did you hear about the DUI suspect in hit-run crash that left a boy badly hurt has been deported 15 times?

Illegal = criminal. Don't ever lose sight of that.

So how's the investigation going?

Why would anyone need to dump on Hillary?
Republicans wanted to destroy Hillary so they went after her for Benghazi, what...8+ investigations/hearings? Not just no smoking gun, not even any smoke. What was it all about? We do want to investigate killings of Americans and our diplomat, but tying it all to HRC and as though she was doing anything wrong?

But this witch hunt did turn up her use of a private email server...so they took what they could get and hammered her on that.
Working from home! Hillary you treasonous beast! Um, someone let her set up a private email server so she could work more from home, this is the scandal of the decade? I think not. What's her motive? Reduced travel time?

Compared to Trump and Russia, anyone can see what a joke comparing the two is. Winning the POTUS, Russian blackmail, Russian meddling in the election, Russia is our adversary, Flynn's improper handling of dealings with Russia, other campaigners still under investigation, Trump's obvious and strange love affair with the basically authoritarian-dictator of the biggest adversary to the U.S.

Be serious.

Paul is doing a political pre-emptive strike.

He can read the writing on the wall.

This should have happened (indie prosecutor) after the Nunes' fiasco. There's far too many Americans having blind trust in their government. This was not what our founders intended.

There SHOULD BE a special prosecutor appointed and they should look at EVERYTHING. In addition to the allegations of collusion (which have been investigated for over a year now) the Special Prosecutor should also investigate if the heads fo the FBI and NSA lied about warrantless wiretapping. They should investigate who authorized unmasking US Citizens with a warrant and who that information went to. They should investigate how unmasked data ended up in the hands of Clnton campaign operatives and they should find out who committed federal crimes by leaking classified data.

Let em dangle.

I just don’t think it’s useful to be doing investigation after investigation, particularly of your own party. We’ll never even get started with doing the things we need to do like repealing Obamacare if we’re spending our whole time having Republicans investigate Republicans. I think it makes no sense.

That Rand Paul?

The President is a Republican, and his party holds a majority in both Houses of Congress. Who do you expect to appoint this special counsel?

Exactly and that was mentioned today. Comey refused to investigate the leaks per Trump's request. Sounds to me like the boss can fire anyone he wants to fire. After all, he's the boss. Democrats and the media had no problems with Obama firing whoever he wanted to fire. The media didn't even bother to look into several firings. But, the hypocritical bastards hate Trump, because liberals are haters and jealous, by nature. So they go overboard in covering these stories.
I've never seen so many outraged and hateful liberal reporters, on a daily basis, as I have since Nov. 8th 2016.
Andrea Mitchell is going to vapor lock, if she's not careful.

Obviously the counsel will be appointed by a majority GOP body. I would prefer the Senate.

But the idea is to get someone not beholden to the President, a party, an elected office, or a government job. It can't preclude partisanship, but it can level the playing field a bit through independence.

What makes you think Republicans in Congress would vote to have a Republican President investigated?
