With the firing of Comey Trump has found a way to end the investigation into him and his staff. The real laugh is that the Dems helped him, giving he and Sessions the reason to fire Comey. Next the Trumpsters will nominate some party man to lead the FBI who will close down the investigation ASAP. So now we will never know what happened during the election, but that is what many of the GOP who didn't actually support Trump want to happen. They want an end to all of this so they can get onto ending Medicaid and vouchering Medicare and cutting Social Scurity, as well as doing away with all the parts of the ACA that they hate.

They have. I hope they do appoint one. All the suspicion, accusations and confusion needs to end. The only way it will, that might satisfy both parties is by an independent.

Comey being removed does not end the investigation. But that wont stop liberals from lying about it though.

That seems highly unlikely. Especially given the testimony about Flynn this week, and that both the House and Senate still have investigations in progress.

If anything, this strengthens the case for an independent investigator, who can't be fired on a whim by the President.

It wouldn't matter. Dems wouldn't accept the results of an investigation even if they were solely doing the investigation themselves unless it found what they want.

Doesn't matter what the Democrats accept. Why do you care what they accept? The investigation needs to happen and needs to happen without any consideration of stepping on toes.
That includes the present administration as well. If this firing is an attempt to influence the investigation through intimidation I hope for the sake of you and your fellow citizens it doesn't work.

Trump isn't just firing one guy, he's moving people around to keep the investigation off balance. He's a skilled manipulator.

Isn't the FBI supposed to be an independent investigation? How did it happen that the FBI is presumed to have a political agenda? Is there a corner of the federal administration, anywhere, that can be assumed to be free of corruption?
 
This is exactly what i expect out of Iran, much like when he threatened to prosecute his political enemy it was exactly like what happens in Iran

The ACA is dying of its own accord. You can see this by all the insurance companies pulling out of it. Come next year Iowa, the whole state may not have even one insurance company in the ACA. Nine states will have but one company to choose from. Did I say choose from? One company in the ACA means anyone using the ACA to obtain insurance through it will have to pay whatever premium that one insurance company wants to charge along with how high a deductible that one insurance company wants. Either that or be fined.

Now it was just reported Knoxville and its surrounding counties will also be without an insurance company as Humana pulled out of the ACA. What good is the ACA if one can't get insurance through it?

Be that as it may. The firing of Comey today certainly leaves the impression that there is a there there on this Russian thing. Until now I haven't paid any attention to it chalking it up political propaganda against Trump by the Democrats because they lost the election. Now I will have to re-evaluate. If Trump fired Comey shortly after taking office, I would have understood that. Not today, perhaps Trump does have something to hide.

I read an article that said that Sessions is already talking about ending it. I find it interesting that he might be one that should be investigated, but he can also end it.

The firing should have happened months ago. The dems should have fired him before Trump even won the election if they were being true to making sure people (Comey) were doing what they were supposed to be and not what they were not supposed to be.
And of course it matters what the dems accept. tax payers have to pay for the investigation.
