In an election of philosophically opposing candidates - that has been categorized as very similar to our recent election - the "Trump-like" candidate loses by a very large margin. Such a large loss begs the following question: Given that Trump's election was the combination of a "perfect storm" of sorts, I find myself wondering if the French voters took a look at the actions and behavior of post-election Trump and decided that they wanted no part of electing an individual like that running their country?
