If the new ACHA does pass, which will be by a razor thin margin if it does, senate rules require a CBO score before it can be voted on. Should the score reflect negatively-as the first ACHA score did-the Republicans in non ultra-conservative districts will be at a very high risk for mid-term defeat. This may well be the best scenario that the Dem's could ask for.

For the past eight years, Republicans have based their campaigns on repealing and replacing Obamacare. Obviously, this latest version is nothing close to a repeal and replacement, but the Republican's and especially Trump will label it as such anyway. BOTH need a win and at ALL cost to the country.

Given that the over-riding agenda is NOT helping the American people, but trying to get a "quasi" legislative win for themselves and our ego-maniacal POTUS, the Republicans are hoping that should the bill pass, the senate will clean up their mess. That way, they can continue to claim a victory and hope their voting base continues to simply be too unintelligent to figure it out what is going on with health care reform.

OR they could vote without the Dems as was done to them.

Well stated. The best thing here would be for the House to pass it, Senate to kill it, with many middle of the road GOP reps voting for in in swing districts voting for it and they have hell to pay for their vote next year and are thrown out on their behinds.

If moderate republicans save ObamaCare by adding more free market and less government to healthcare its a setback for the democrats who designed obamacare to fail.

Obama wanted full blown socialized medicine which meant he had to fully destroy the free market first

Exactly. All the Republicans have done for the last eight years is oppose - without having to do anything constructive. Let it pass and they own it. Then, they alone will bear the blunt of it if the CBO scores it as bad as it did the first one.

Like we have said before, Trump could do anything and the 35 % of moronic "red neck" supporters wouldn't care. However, there were many "nose holding" Trump voters that will likely not like the outcome of this bill. We shall see how they react.

Remember: Trump's main focus is a WIN. He could care less how it hurts low and middle class families, as long as it get him bragging rights.
Trump's mantra: Vote now, deal with the aftermath later.

Perhaps the Senate will save us from the bill.

If the corrupt washington establishment of democrats and republicans cared about the middle class they would cooperate with trump instead of trying to destroy him.

But trump is brash and loud and he embarassed the liberals and moderates by being an outsider and an amatour who beat them at their own game.

They are personally offended by trump

Of course fire breathing liberals across the country down in the trenches oppose trump for policy reasons

They love the wipe-every-nose welfare state and think man-made global warming is going to kill us all.

And they love muslims and illegal aliens from mexico

So their hate is sincere

How this all turns out is anyone's guess

The working middle class is with trump but that may not be enough

I think you are correct. The Republicans passed repeal over 50 times never dreaming they would have to back their play. Now it's come back to bite them in the butt. The best example of bad leadership I can think of.

Republican rank and file dumped Cantor, pressured Boehnor into retirement, and the House elects Ryan by nearly unanimous vote. Then puts up 10 or so possible Presidential candidates cut from the same bolt of cloth. The Democrats, BTW succeeded in nominated the only candidate who could not defeat Trump.

They all need to go. Maybe 2018 will look better. Put up another Dave Brat in your Senate candidates. Time to truly drain the swamp.

A win for the Democrats, a loss for the Republicans, and what about the American people? How many will lose access to quality health care while the mindless partisans go about getting their "wins" and "losses?"
Think how much better it would be if only the two parties would quit their stupid one upmanship and focus on solving practical problems like the soaring cost of health insurance.

But, alas, no, the Repugnicans must have their win over the Democraps. Go out and win one for the gip.. I mean the party, and to hell with whether a baby born with a heart defect will live or die. Who cares about that?

I agreed with your post until you tossed that name out. Brat is owned.

As headlines continue to point to Insurance companies pulling out of markets, I'm not sure the collapse of Obamacare is going to be a good thing for Dems. It's their program, and they seem to think they can escape responsibility for doing nothing to address all the problems, and for the ever increasing premiums.

How are Dems going to escape the ****storm that's coming, while they sit on their hands and let their plan fall apart?

No amount of cover from their media partners, or blanket posts from the boiler rooms are going to be able to keep the light off this looming reality.

So, if Trumpcare passes the Senate, and if you're dependent on private insurance, you're totally screwed.
If you have employer paid group insurance, you're mostly screwed.
If you have Medicaid, you may be OK.

That looks like it about sums it up.

God won't save us. it's up to the US senate.

Obamacare has its problems and the GOP version has its problems and they are so entrenched against each other that nothing rational is going to come out of this. Apparently the GOP version has about a 2% chance of passing in the Senate.

Yes, it has its problems. The GOP version makes it even worse.

That 2% means the optimist sees a 98% chance that things at least won't be made worse. Good to know.

Democrats have been screwing up healthcare since FDR was president

I honestly dont know if the republicans have succeeded in improving obamacare or not

There are so many compromises to sift through and evaluate

Plus they promise to continue the effort n Phase II and Phase III

But they could not do worse than what pelosi and obama created

OH, I have a lot more confidence in their ability than you seem to have.
