So about that money Obama took for a speech.....

I grew up under Eisenhower which were good times. Good times were also under Bill Clinton and the last six years of Reagan. Terrible under Jimmy Carter. Bill Clinton was a good president, with that I agree. Probably third or fourth in my list of top presidents in my lifetime. Eisenhower first, JFK second.

I base my vote on whom I think is the best candidate for president or whatever elected office is on the ballot. Political parties mean nothing to me in deciding that vote. Political parties, the major ones are nothing more than tools of the moneyed elite who give them their cash or as some would call it, investments in them so they will get a bigger return on that investment.

What we have as someone put it and I agree. Is that we have but one political party here in the good old USA. But that political party has two wings, a Democratic wing and a Republican wing. Oh, the rhetoric is polar opposite, but governing is always close to the same. In the end those faceless moneyed folks who give or donate their millions, tens of millions or more get their return on their investments or donations. Neither party will bite the hand that feeds it.

Greetings, Pero. :2wave:

:agree: Since politics today appears to be nothing more than a way to become very wealthy - with the welfare of the people being governed a distant second in importance - why is anyone surprised to see the dishonesty and greed so commonplace in our society? And how did we get to where we are, responsible for paying the expensive salaries of all those hundreds in power in DC - who can increase their paychecks at any time without asking our permission - but we don't matter? WTH?

Sadly, if we use the Star Wars movies as an example of what a One-World Government might look like, which so many seem to be pushing for, "we ain't seen nothin yet!" Hint: Utopia it will NOT be.....

*Just thinking out loud on a unseasonably cold rainy day here....*

It's a rainy day in Georgia also. Not so cold though. Utopia can't exist on earth. If we ever do have a one-world government it will be someone like Stalin or Hitler in charge of it. A very strongman who doesn't put up with any doo doo. It may not start out that way, but it will end that way.

Where exactly did I say I hated Hillary? Don't put words in my mouth.

And none of those links proves what you said.

It maybe true - and if it is, good for them.

But I want proof from an unbiased source of EXACTLY what you said.
