Yeah, that's what I meant by maintain and repair. Very clear what the money was allocated for.

Paying for regular repairs to the wall built under BUSH has nothing to do that. That is a completely different thing.

(And anyway, a Trump administration press conference is the absolute last place I would look for "news.")




But I'm not surprised that Spicer tried to claim that getting regular repair money for the Bush wall was actually a victory where Trump got money for building the new wall he wants.

Spicer didn't speak to it at all. He claimed nothing this afternoon. Repair money helps border security, does it not? And if very single Republican rep voted for a budget with wall construction money... defunding PP and some of the other things Dems claim victory on, IT STILL WOULD NOT HAVE PASSED.

I'm just posting what Zi heard Homeland Security talk about today. He compromised big time to avoid a shutdown. Did he get what he wanted? No. If every Repub had voted for what he wanted, would he have gotten what he wanted? No.

Please tell me why you are so upset.

Ryan reached an agreenent with dems in the continuing resolution

The dems got everything they wanted
